It went dark, everyone was in shock and still as a statue. I looked out the window, all I could see was the city lights and cars zipping down the road. No one knew what was happing, or when it would end and I knew no one was coming to help.
A few hours before…
I woke up blind. I couldn’t see, I touched my eye lids. They were stiff and I couldn’t open them. I walked to the bathroom and pressed a warm towel on my face to awaken me. I put on my makeup, got dressed and made myself some toast with strawberry marmalade. I left a note for my mom saying I was going to school. I go to a special arts school all the way in the city, downtown. So I have to take the sky train everyday. I road a bus to the train. My phone vibrated in my left pocket, it was my friends they asked, “where are you Ginny?”
I told them I will be there soon, there very impatient people.

I got off the bus and waited for the sky train. Then I saw it flying right towards the station. It stoped and the doors opened wide. The doors were very rustic and there was spilt soda stains everywhere. I stepped on the train and looked for a seat and sat down. I was doing my homework and so close to my stop when we went through a tunnel. It was very dark, they had lights on the sky train though. But the lights were very dim like out of a horror movie. I could see a little fly buzzing around in them. We were almost out of the tunnel, when I had heard blissful screeching on the tracks and we weren’t moving. A older man called out, “did we stop?”
“We’re not at our stop though. We’re still in the tunnel,” replied a business woman.
I was very confused and so were the others on the sky train. How could we just have stoped?

I was looking around at all the worried faces among me. I got up from my seat and was walking around, I pulled out my phone and turned on my flash light. I was trying to look at the end of the tunnel to see if anyone was there to help. No one in sight. Then I got shivers done my spine by remembering something. The next train will be coming in one hour. If we don’t get out of here then all these people and me are going to crash into the next up coming train. I got to get all these people out of here. I have to figure out a way to get these doors open first. I was looking around to see if there was anything I could use to open the doors. I need something thin that could fit through the little crack in the door. I asked a bunch of people but they didn’t want to help. It’s like they didn’t care.
