I am over being jealous of the computer and will let terri complete a page about me..

My funniest teaching moment involved an old cassette player, a jammed cassette tape, and lots of loose cassette ribbon. That's all I'm going to say about that.

Watching them take chances, share their voices and become the teachers in the room!

I put this page off as long as I could. I don't like to watch or listen to myself on camera! Click on the green button to hear my story. I truly believe I have one of the best jobs in education. I have to pinch myself sometimes. How cool is it that I get to learn new technology and and share it with teachers and students?! 

I'm a prolific photographer so my favourite app has got to be Snapseed. I use it all the time to edit my photos and create artwork from them.

We adopted our first dog this past summer. Snoopy is a 5 year old Boglen Terrier.

Meet Winnie! This is my sister's dog... and she is a firecracker! Winnie was rescued when she was a puppy and despite being overly excited sometimes, she is an absolute love and just wants to be near all the action! I love this sweet, little thing!

When I was a science teacher, I worked for Upward Bound in the summers. I did a class on food chemistry.. and I wanted to do this experiment I had seen others do on the make up of butter, margarine, spread etc.. It said freeze the butter, but I bought it first thing, so it was "cold". Well students had rounded test tubes.. and as they pushed down the butter in the tube, their hands heated it, and it flew out of the tube.. there was butter everywhere! Floors, walls, tables.. and I could not stop laughing.. It still makes me smile..

Worksheets that had purple words, were still wet when you received them &amp; if you sat in the front half of the room you could smell the fresh ink.

In elementary school, I would play Super Mario Bros. for hours. I'll never forget the day I won the game! I did a victory lap around the house! I used to be so good at playing this game. I used to be...

Recently, a friend and I decided to start up the Wii and play a few games. Of course we both just had to play Super Mario Bros....the original version. I am embarrassed to admit this, but I could not pass Level 1-1. It was so hard to play. My head knew exactly where to navigate Mario to, but I just couldn't make him do what I wanted him to do. It was sad. It was pretty funny too. I think I'll have to practice again and see if I can win the game just one more time.

I can watch this movie over and over again

My son was 3 when he wanted to cook dinner.  So he would cook dinner for us once a week!  That meant peanut butter and jelly sandwiches once a week for quite awhile.  We continued that tradition until he was was finished with elementary school.  Then he helped cook several nights a week.

Each year for Thanksgiving my family has a huge Thanksgiving breakfast.  Then we head outside and have a target shooting contest with the pumpkins left over from Halloween.

What I love to do to relax...

The good ol' Bell and Howell Filmstrip projector.  We would fight to the death to be able to be the "projectionist". This entailed getting the strip in correctly getting the record player going, too.  Certainly dating myself on this page!

My favorite teacher was my first teacher, my sweet little mamacita. From learning how to read books, to ride bikes, to tie my shoes... to facing challenges head on, saying yes to adventures, and working hard for what you believe in, I am who I am because of my first teacher, my favorite teacher... my mother.

Every December, I drive through a certain neighborhood in Fullerton, California just to see these Sparkle Balls.  Folks come from far away to see this neighborhood all decked out with holiday cheer! Seesaw is a learning journal that enables students to document their learning. It also makes it very easy for parents to view and comment on their child's work which helps them feel connected with what's going on in class.

Makes me laugh every time I watch it. Young adults help me understand the genre.

I'm a HUGE fan of Classkick because it allows for both live in-app or delayed feedback. There are very few apps that encourage timely, thoughtful written/recorded feedback like this app does. Check it out at <a href="http://classkick.com">classkick.com</a>.

I had a beautiful view of the woods from my classroom, so naturally my students were always working at the counter by the windows to watch the turkeys, deer, chipmunks, and squirrels that would often stroll by. We rarely saw any exciting wildlife in the winter, but one day a student proclaimed "WE'VE GOT A PORCUPINE!" right in the middle of my perfectly planned math lesson. Sure enough, we had a porcupine, so we spent the rest of the math lesson watching our friend, Porky, trudge through the deep snow. It was hilarious listening to my second graders narrate his travels.

My favorite teacher was He taught English, loved the works of Edgar Allen Poe, and had an incredible sense of humor!

I had many meetings and appointments, during this marathon. Luckily, this race allowed everyone to participate. Enjoy the creation chat format, let's me practice some of the topics you'll find in these pages. Using Chrome allowed the flexibility to hand off between devices. The new features in Book Creator are truly staggering! Without #the262 exploring these options would have been in the future and surely without this much fun! Thinking of ways to use this with young adults as well as staff. As always with Jon and Ann there is practical learning, connecting with others and with unlimited fun!

This video represents a very special year for me. This was the FIRST time I created a stop motion video and it was my ADE application video. This video tells my story and shows some of the ways my young scholars used technology to share, showcase, and celebrate their learning with the world.

2016 was in many ways a gaming changing year for me. I was a part of a UNICEF project in the town where I live. Working the whole year to teach kids about the Convention on the right of the child. Ad the same time raising money for a UNICEF project in Myanmar. We managed to raise more than 1 mill danish kroner (160.000 USD). When the year was finished I quit my job to be able to do more work like that. And that is what I do for a living now. I just love to use my creativity to create educational resources that are inspiring and creative to use for our kids.

While I did not have Richard Dreyfus as a director I did have Mr. watson. learning music from mr. watson changed my life. I learned discipline, a love of music and teamwork while in band. Thank you mr. watson!
