Class 7 Week 2 Date : 15/7/2021 (Thursday) Time : 9-11am

I had prepared a lesson plan and pre-recorded my mock teaching. Then, I got the opportunity to present my mock teaching presentation and receive feedback from Madam. The feedback I received indicated that my presentation was fine, but the time taken for students to complete the crossword puzzle was too long, and that there was little interaction between students. I need to improve my time management skills and also increase my interaction with students. Even though I have some weaknesses in my mock teaching, that is fine because I can learn from mistakes and improve next time. Despite this, I was effective in getting students to properly guess their topic, which was "Time to spare", and also elicited their interest in learning.

Class 22 Week 6 Date: 14/8/2021 (Saturday) Time: 9-11 AM

Today was our scheduled test date. I was a little nervous because the test consisted of 50 multiple-choice questions and two essays. The questions were not as straightforward as I anticipated. I'm worried that I won't have enough time to do it. Unfortunately, because I spent so much time on the first essay, my second essay was not as good as I desired. However, I still felt relieved because I managed to complete the test.

Today was my second mock presentation. I received feedback from Madam that my presentation met the criteria for questioning, focusing on ideas, probing, and posing. Additionally, Madam stated that she observed that I had applied a lot of verbal reinforcement. I was so glad to hear that. What I missed, however, were the redirecting questions and my non-verbal reinforcement was limited. Madam told me that it was probably due to my laptop’s screen issue, as I neglected to flip down my screen when I recorded my mock teaching video, which allowed her to see my entire face up to my jaw only. I was relieved that I had improved compared to the previous session. I appreciated all of Madam's remarks with humility and have promised myself that next time I will do better.

Class 11 Week 3 Date : 23/7/2021 (Friday) Time: 8-10am

Today was the first session of the second mock teaching presentation. Due to the fact that I was not feeling well, I was not able to present today. Therefore, as usual, I watched my classmates present. Some of them did not meet the requirements set forth by Madam, which included reinforcement and questioning tactics, among other things. Each of them presented their activities uniquely. It was an opportunity for me to learn how to create activities that incorporated both reinforcement and questioning strategies from others. The use of reinforcement is extremely important in order to inspire students, whilst questioning tactics can be used to effectively elicit students' opinions.

Class 18 Week 5 Date: 5/8/2021 (Thursday) Time: 9-11 AM

Today it was my turn to present a mock teaching on the practice and closure stage. I was overjoyed to hear that I had finally received all of the positive feedback this time around. Madam and Syafiqah have informed me that I have met all of the criteria.&nbsp;In terms of teaching aids, educational values are related to teaching aids, and they are interesting and motivating to students. Whereas for the closure stage, I have included summarization, enhancement exercises, and positive reinforcement. When I heard that, for the first time in a long while, I had not received any negative comments, I was so excited and unable to express my delight enough. You are wonderful, Madam! Thank you for your guidance.

Given that I had already completed my presentation, today I just sat and watched all of my classmates present their mock teaching for the practice stage and closure stage. As usual, I pay attention to their presentations and take notes.

Since I have done my presentation, today I just sat and watched all of my classmates from tutorial A present their set induction stage. They were creative, amusing, and intelligent in incorporating various online tools for their set induction. Suddenly, I was asked to provide feedback on one of my classmates' presentations. At first, I was hesitant to provide honest feedback as I was scared that I might offend him as I am not so close to him. However, Madam encouraged me to provide honest feedback. So I need to learn to give effective feedback to classmates without causing offense.

In today's lesson, Madam continued her lecture on open and closed questions. She demonstrated to us how to ask questions in an efficient manner. I've noticed that there are numerous questioning approaches and criteria that we must take into consideration while posing questions to our students.As educators, we have a lot to learn about how to effectively lead a class. It is critical for us to be familiar with all of the questioning tactics in order to effectively conduct class.

Class 1 Week 1 Date: 6/7/2021 (Tuesday) Time: 9-11 am

It was the first day of class for the subject&nbsp;Microteaching, and Madam Nirmala gave us an overview of the tasks, assignments, and projects that we would be expected to complete by the end of the semester in order to pass the course. Madam showed us&nbsp;a PowerPoint presentation that thoroughly described everything.As may be seen on the following pages, the photos depict the specifics and requirements for the E-portfolio and mock teaching that all students are required to do on their own. There are two tasks that need to be completed. Using an online tool, we were asked to produce five activities for the first task , while the second task required us to make a blog post with ten activities that were centred on 21st century learning with the implementation of all 4 language skills. I am hopeful that I will be able to complete everything on time, and I intend to strive hard to do so.

Then we were directed to do task 2, as depicted on the left. Within our groups, we are required to develop three learning objectives utilizing pertinent CS and LS and focused on various levels of the Bloom Taxonomy. My group members and I managed to complete the task as shown in the picture above.

Class 6 Week 2 Date : 14/7/2021 (Wednesday) Time : 9-11AM

Madam began today's session by playing a video clip from the film The Gambler, which was quite interesting. At first, I was perplexed by Madam's actions, but after a time, I realised she was exhibiting her method of set induction, which she accomplished successfully by capturing everyone's attention before the lecture began. Madam then sent us a link to Jamboard, where we could all brainstorm ideas to capture pupils' attention throughout the set induction. I believe Madam did an excellent job of demonstrating what a set induction is all about, and as a result, everyone understood and wrote down what they would do for their pupils to gain their attention during the set induction stage. I wrote "maintain the interaction" because maintaining interaction with students is critical to get their attention during the set induction stage.

Today, madam taught us all about the closure stage. Madam advised us that a teacher should perform a three-minute closure stage to arouse students' anticipation for the next lesson.As usual, she showed us the criteria needed to be fulfilled for the closure stage, as the pictures below show.Then madam reminded us that for our upcoming mock teaching video, we need to incorporate both the practice and closure stages.

Then Madam instructed us to do a task based on closure stage planning and display it on the Padlet. As usual, Madam discussed the answers and provided feedback on our answers.

Today, we were required to show our website as part of our online blog project. For the blog, Madam commented on our innovative additional features such as games, music, and survival stories. However, because there were so many items on the home page, the blog appeared to be messy and a little disorganised. As for the activities, Madam stated that they were excellent. I made one mistake which was that I forgot to create a link for students to submit their work in my second activity. As my activity, I stated there "Submit your work to your teacher," Nonetheless, it was a valuable lesson learned.

I can’t believe I made it to the end! First and foremost, I'd like to convey my gratitude to my lecturer, Madam Nirmala. I will never forget all the fun activities that she incorporated into our lessons. I also appreciated how she always tied the courses to real-life instances that would help me to succeed in my internship. I appreciate her dedication and commitment to teaching. I appreciate her for being such a wonderful lecturer. Her enthusiasm for teaching and dedication are very meaningful to me. Thank you, Madam Nirmala!

Class 17 Week 5 Date : 4/8/2021 (Wednesday) Time : 9-11AM

Today, Madam sent us to the breakout rooms again in order for us to get some practice creating lesson plans. We were given the task of developing a lesson plan for our class. Madam requested that we revise certain sections of the lesson plan since they were wrong. See how, despite the fact that I have created numerous lesson plans in the past, I can still make mistakes. That is why I believe the task Madam gave us today was very useful in pinpointing our weaknesses.

We were divided into groups by Madam through Zoom breakout rooms. We were instructed to answer questions 5 and 6 based on the slide, which can be seen in the picture on the following page. Hence, we discussed among ourselves and presented our findings during the session. I also sat and listened to other people's presentations. I liked Enisha ‘s presentation because I found out that her presentation slides were very informative and easy to understand. I enjoyed the session since I learned a lot about KSSM and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Madam reviewed the Padlet answers we gave regarding reinforcement strategies. For those who weren’t present, Madam informed us that she would record feedback. Besides that, Madam reminded us about punctuality, that every student shouldn’t submit their tasks late because it is not fair. Luckily, I always submit my tasks on time.

Today, madam enlightened us on the procedures that teachers can incorporate into their lesson plans. Then she taught us about the use of teaching aids. Following that, she told us to do a task regarding teaching aids and post our answers on Padlet. I was glad that our group got positive feedback from madam.

This morning was a tutorial lesson, and some students had not finished their presentations yet. As a result, I continued to watch them present today. I enjoyed watching and learning from their presentations.

We are still at chapter 2 because this is a big chapter&nbsp;which covers a lot of knowledge. We learnt how to apply “ABCD” in developing learning objectives.In the following acronyms: A stands for audience (students), B stands for behaviour (action), C stands for condition (requirement) and D represents for&nbsp;degree (criteria with a target amount specified )&nbsp;This is completely new information for me, as I had never encountered it during the prior semester of study.

It was the second class for Microteaching. Madam Nirmala taught us about Chapter 2, which is "Teaching and Learning Objectives". This chapter discusses how to set learning outcomes using the "SMART" and "Bloom Taxonomy" frameworks. Madam spent a significant amount of time discussing Bloom Taxonomy because it is critical to understand all of the different levels. In order for me to develop well in my teaching while also seeing my students progress well in their grades in the future, it is critical that I write effective objectives in order to ensure an effective assessment of learning.

Madam introduced a new subject called "Set Induction." I learned new strategies for capturing students' attention as well as recommendations for efficient set induction during class. I enjoy my lecture notes since they are quite useful, particularly because she simplified the criteria for effective set induction, which is so convenient for us to understand with just a glance.

Today was the day for our online tool presentation. Fatimah was our group's representative at the presentation, so she demonstrated her online tool to Madam. My group has picked Microsoft PowerPoint as the platform for developing an interesting online tool incorporated with various activities. Please do not think that PPT is boring. When we attempted to explore PowerPoint, we discovered just how beneficial it could be. We can even utilise PowerPoint to create a game. I was relieved that everything went smoothly. My classmates' feedback was unanimously good, and they expressed their interest in what Fatimah presented just now. To begin, she demonstrated how to incorporate titles and images into the slides.Following that, she showed how to add a video by importing it into the PPT. Then, she showed how to build a quiz on the slides with interactive buttons such as correct symbols every time students get the answer correctly. I appreciated my group members for their cooperation. Last but not least, I was proud to say that our objectives were achieved, which was to astound people with the capabilities of Microsoft Power Point.

Today, Madam introduced us to a new chapter entitled "Use of the White/Black Board in the Classroom". In today's lecture, we learned how to organize a whiteboard for classroom teaching. Using a whiteboard appears to be too simple, but it is not as there are many techniques we need to learn about organizing a whiteboard. Hence, Madam taught us how to make use of the whiteboard in many situations. In addition, Madam demonstrated other websites that provide an online whiteboard, which were quite interesting, such as " Whiteboard.fi" from Kahoot.
