Why do people perform Christmas pageants?Loading...
People perform Christmas pageants to respect how Jesus saved us. Also to remember that he saved us and how everything went on the night of his birth. We give gifts to each other like the three kings gave gifts to Jesus. He is our savior, so it is important to remember his birth and death. Therefore people put on Christmas pageants to help us remember Jesus' birth.Loading...
Sean's Prediction of the BookLoading...
After reading chapter one, I think the Herdman's will disturb the Christmas pageant, and start to burning down things to make the biggest fire of history. Their mom will come home more and they start to behave. She'll run away from her own kids, or teach them how to behave. They keep on making trouble in school and blackmail people. I think this because Imogene already started to blackmail people. I think their mom will run away because the book says, " She'd rather be at the shoe factory than shut up at home with that crowd of kids." I think it will just be the opposite of that because that's just irony. I think they will disturb the Christmas pageant because the book says, "We figured they were headed straight for hell, by way of the state penitentiary... until they got themselves mixed up with the church, and my mother, and our Christmas pageant.Summary of The Best Christmas pageant Ever
In this book there is a family named the Herdman’s. The Herdman’s are hated by the whole town because they create fires, cause trouble, and blackmail people. Anyone who comes in their way the do something to them. Their dad passed, and their mom hardly comes home. One day in school There are people talking about a Christmas pageant in church. So the Herdman’s went to church that Sunday because they wanted to be in it. Alice Wendleken is always the lead role of Mary. Imogene Herdman threatens to blackmail her if she raises her hand to be Mary. So Imogene is Mary, so all of the Herdman’s are in if one is in. The Herdman’s are the lead roles. When the Herdman’s hear the Christmas story they think it should be a little bit different. When the actual pageant comes they come on late but it wasn’t bad. When everyone thought it was gonna be the worst Christmas pageant ever, it was the best.

"Mom look! These are all of the bad things I saw Imogene Herdman doing in school."
"Ok, I'm coming dear. What, these are terrible things. Does the directer know she's doing this."
"No, you have to call the board!"
"I will, right now! She can not do this in the pageant and we ca't risk it, I'll talk to them about asking the Herdman's to leave."
