Have you ever wondered why the Southern Colonies were founded? Well i'm going to tell you.

Did you know the Southern Colonies were founded to favor cash crops and make a lot of money. Rich people also came to this region from Great Britain two make money. They had many workers and plantations to farm. Unlike the southern colonies the rest of the colonies were founded for religious reasons.

Come to the sunny Southern Colonies because I'm going to take you to the wonderful world of the southern colonies geography.

The geography of the Southern colonies ranges widely from warm ocean shores to beautiful mountain ranges. The climate of the Southern Colonies is milder than the others. The land is beautiful and fertile, making growing crops in the Southern Colonies easier than in the others.

In the Southern Colonies British men came to help the poor avoid debtor's prison. Which is when you can't pay your bill so you go to jail. Sending debtors to Georgia was a way for the poor, instead of going to jail gave them a new start to earn a living in the new colony. They also gave the debtors 50 acres of land for free.
