Friday 22nd March
Head of School Welcome
Dear Parents and Carers,

Reception have been finding doubles and odd and even numbers in maths. They have created their own set of instructions on how to plant cress seeds after planting them a few weeks ago. In RE the children have enjoyed learning more about the Easter story and have done some super sequencing to show to key events of the story. In PE they have continued to look at net and wall skills thinking about how they can apply these skills to other areas within PE.

Year One have enjoyed watching the changes of the flower experiment they conducted last week, they have done a great job at recording their findings in a diary form. In maths the children have begun to look at mass and volume, they have been using cubes to compare the mass of different objects. In SCARF the children have been thinking about the importance of having a good daily routine. The children have also created some beautiful tree paintings linked to their science learning.

Year Two have had a super week. The children had a wonderful time at Eden, exploring the biomes and learning about seeds. There were many signs of Spring all around which they were brilliant at spotting. Have you noticed any when you are out and about? In Maths they have been comparing capacities and volume with vessels of different sizes. There has also been lots of chatting about plants, growths and seeds.
