Welcome to our newsletter Friday 22nd September

Dear Parents and Carers, This week Year 1 have been innovating their class story of 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. The children have been identifying one more and one less than numbers in Maths. In SCARF this week the children have been thinking about how they can show that they are doing their best listening. Year 1 have been refining their ball skills in PE by practising different passes. In the children's computing session, they have enjoyed logging into chrome books and creating their own pictures.&nbsp; This week Reception have been working hard to compare amounts in Maths, using the language of more and less. In literacy we have been talking about the characters in the story of 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. In SCARF we have been thinking about the things we enjoy to do, talking about how we all enjoy lots of different things. Year 2 have been working hard in their Maths this week. They have been using the inequality symbols and writing their findings independently. The children have also been innovating and writing their own stories based on the story, "Almost Anything" by Sophy Henn. Have you read this lovely story? Miss K Bullock Head of School

This week the nursery children have been busy reciting numbers in order and practising accurate counting. They enjoyed using their number skills to count how many stars they created during a stamping activity. Alongside this the children have been using handwriting patterns to decorate stars. They have been working hard to hold their pencils correctly and show some control while making their marks.

Reporting Absences If your child is going to be absent from school due to illness, then please inform the office before 9am in the morning, and let us know why your child is going to be absent, and when you expect them to return. You may either phone the office on (01726) 812006 and leave a message or alternatively send an email to hello@biscoveyinfants.org.uk Please make sure that you child is getting to school on time. The gates will shut at 8.45am prompt.

School gates are open between 8.35 - 8.45am After 8.45 when gates are closed your child will be marked by the office as late (L) 8.50am onwards your child will be marked as late after register closes (U)
