Our focus value for the next 4 weeks is 'Reflection' The children will be learning this value in all lessons. If you have any examples from home of your child showing courage we would love for you to share this with us on Tapestry.

For reflecting on his writing and improving the quantity and quality of his work. He stayed focused and produced some beautiful writing.

Welcome to our newsletter Friday 17th November

Dear Parents and Carers, This week Year One have enjoyed learning all about Remembrance Day and Diwali. The children have made their own Diya Lamps and learnt about the story Rama and Sita. This week in Science the children were delighted that they had finally fixed Mrs Sanders umbrella, the children tested the umbrella and wrote some super instructions. In Maths the children have been starting to look at subtraction and finding missing parts.&nbsp; This week Year Two had a visit from the local Fire Brigade. They learnt all about the tools on the fire engine, the various situations&nbsp;firefighters can help with and how to stay safe if there was a fire. It was a wonderful experience and the children thoroughly enjoyed it. Miss K Bullock Head of School

This week the Honeybees children have been busy learning about Autumn in their sensory tray. They have been busy exploring the different colours and textures whilst learning new vocabulary to describe the items we may find at this time of year. The Nursery children have enjoyed cleaning up the muddy animals in the garden. They have shown great control with their brushes.

Reporting Absences If your child is going to be absent from school due to illness, then please inform the office before 9am in the morning, and let us know why your child is going to be absent, and when you expect them to return. You may either phone the office on (01726) 812006 and leave a message or alternatively send an email to hello@biscoveyinfants.org.uk Please make sure that you child is getting to school on time. The gates will shut at 8.45am prompt.

School gates are open between 8.35 - 8.45am After 8.45 when gates are closed your child will be marked by the office as late (L) 8.50am onwards your child will be marked as late after register closes (U)
