The Swallow takes the Prince's eye to the match girl

There is a statue of the Happy Prince on a tall column in the city. He has got two sapphires for eyes and he is covered with gold. There is a red ruby on his sword

The Happy Prince sees a poor woman with her son. He is very ill

The Happy Prince is very sad and his heart breaks

The prince is blind now and he can't see anything

The Swallow flies to the poor woman with the ruby

There is a young writer. He is cold and so he can't write

The Mayor doesn't like the statue of the Happy Prince and some workers take it down and put it in a furnace

The Swallow takes one sapphire to the young writer.

The Swallow takes off all the gold from the statue of the Happy Prince and takes it to the poor.

It's night and the Swallow sleeps near the Happy Prince's feet

The Swallow flies over the city and sees many poor people 

The Happy Prince is very sad because he sees the misery of the people in town and he starts crying

There is a poor match girl. She can't sell her matches because they are all wet.

The moral of the story is that we must help the poor and the needy. The prince sets an example of this by giving his jewels to the poor. The swallow also proves to be a great example of love and sacrifice.

God asks an Angel to find the two most precious things on Earth

The Swallow decides to stay with the Happy Prince forever

The Angel takes the Happy Prince's  heart and the dead Swallow to Paradise
