Reservoirs are man made water sources where they build dams and areas where rivers run and collect the fresh water. Lakes are sometimes made by glaciers thousands of years ago melting on the land or are at the end of a river. Wells are a man made hole in the ground to store water. Rivers are a source of water normally by either a spring or underground reservoir.

Water Water is a valued product which can't be consumed straight from lakes or oceans. Multiple countries, mainly in Asia and Africa, don't have access to water because its too hot, or they are landlocked. There is also something called droughts which is where the land is going dry, people and animals die due to lack of thirst, and rain comes down maybe once or twice a year.

Water is super commonly wasted in different ways in different amounts for different reasons. The African country of Niger has the biggest lack of water, where most people on average make £2.15 daily. Sometimes a country is landlocked which means they do not have access to water and are entirely surrounded by countries making it harder to find water.
