Hi my name is Layla Cruz and today I will be telling you about Jane Goodall. Jane Goodall was a British Ecologist who studied and researched chimpanzees. She is a very smart and intelligent woman who has always cared about the wildlife.

The Childhood of Jane Goodall
Jane Goodall was born in London England on April 3, 1934. As a child Jane loved animals. When she was 1 years old, her father gave her a toy chimpanzee. Her parents were Margaret Myfanwe Joseph and Mortimer Morris-Goodall. Jane had a happy childhood and spent time exploring the outside but when Jane was 12 years old her mom and dad got divorced

The Education of Jane Goodall
Jane Goodall wasn't the most enthusiastic about going to school but she still attended and got good grades. Jane attended Bournemouth elementary school. For middle school Jane attended a charter school. When Jane got to college she attended Newnham College, University of Cambridge.
Accomplishments
Jane Goodall started her studies on chimpanzees July 1960 at the age of 26. Jane started by going to forests of Tanzania to study wild chimpanzees. Jane has always loved chimpanzees because she believes they could provide us a window into our own beginnings. Jane Goodall has won many awards such as Template Prize, Edinburgh medal, Hubbard award, and Nierenberg Prize. Jane Goodall retired at the age of 86 and is now 87 years old.
Life
Jane Goodall has spent most of her life researching chimpanzees. She is now 87 years old and her son is 55 years old. Jane's husband died a while ago and know she lives in Tanzania by herself. She still love chimpanzees but she retired a year ago when she was 86 years old.
