The students made some research on post offices, post boxes, stamps and their history.

There is no mail without a...POSTMAN. There are songs and children's characters like Postman Pat. There are also movies. An old classic of children's literature is The Jolly Postman by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. Here is the reading of the picturebook but reading it yourself is far more interesting as you have to open all those letters it includes. For older students, The Postman by David Brin, The Postman film with Kevin Costner, Il postino and the classic The postman always rings twice. The Beatles, in 1963, were writing the song "Please, Mr.Postman". Mr Ivrin PAUSE, the most famous postman of Reunion Island, died a few months ago. He delivered mail for 40 years, in the cirque of Mafate, a place where he walked for many kilometers to go from villages to villages on foot. We collected the stamps on the correspondance, we studied them and learnt useful information about our pen pals' coutnries and culture.

We shared Christmas wishes in many text forms, letters, postcards, videos, flipgrid ....

People wanted to share their moments of good time while travelling so they used to buy postcrds from the places they visited and sent them from there. Some time the postcards arrived after their return home but at least they were sent from the place they had visited. Christmas post cards and birthday. Authors, being sensitive, have written many passionate letters to their beloved ones. Here are some <a href="https://www.bustle.com/p/21-love-letters-by-authors-to-inspire-your-own-valentines-day-notes-8118760">phrases</a> from some very famous writers to their sweethearts. And of course we all know Beethoven.

<a href="http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/mssc/wwibibliography.htm">War letters</a> World War I soldier writing a letter while he was in the trenches. Those letters were censored so that the people back home wouldn't know the terrible conditions of life in the trenches, a war which killed millions of soldiers and people. Those letters were a line of life, as they said. between the soldiers and their loved ones. They lived and breathed expecting those letters. There was no other way of communication. Immigrant letters At the begining of the previous century, hundreds and thousands of people from Europe, migrated to the United States. A new country with plenty of opportunities for a better life. There were tow major waves of migration. The journey was long, the people packed in huge ships, with almost nothing but a small suitcase or a small backpack. Back then, letter writing was the only way to communicate wtih the family left behind in the country of origin. Letters full of hope, wishes and dreams for a brighter future but also homesickness. The journey back home was almost impossible once you left your home country. <a href="https://www.jaha.org/edu/discovery_center/community/peopling_pa02.html">Migration</a> of course was not only towards the U.S.A. Canada, Sweden, Germany depending on the period of time we are talking about. Making a place home. The butcher offered many porducts from the immimgrants' homeplaces.

How well do I think I know my partners?

Dear partners, for a fruitful and successful collaboration there are some simple guidelines all partners should follow. Besides the main purpose of our project is communication. 1. Check regularly our twinspace for any news and feeds. At least 3 three times a week is recommended if not everyday. Pages are there to be read by teachers and students, they are sources of information. 2. Assigned tasks should be completed within the deadlines. Assigned tasks are to be completed by all partners. 3. Always but always be polite, respectful, show understanding for each other's culture or personality. Etwinning is meant to bring us closer and not to divide us. 4. Our students' safety is our first priority. Be careful if you upload photos with their faces. Ask for their parents' permission first, and follow the rules applied when we upload photos with children. Twinspace is a safe environment but still we have to be cautious. 5. We should&nbsp;also be careful with copyright. 6. Replying your partners' messages is vital to a good and productive collaboration and communication. Otherwise it feels like "a voice crying in the....chaos of the web". Be polite. 7. Leave comments on the journal posts. Praise your partner's work, it is an act of politeness and it shows&nbsp;that you follow. Be polite. 8. Take the advantage to unfold your creativity, learn new things, apply new methods, use new tools and applications. What is for sure is that after a project we are wiser! 9. Encourage and remind your students, regulatrly, to use our twinspace. The Greeks said: "Repetition is the mother of learning". 10. Have FUN!!!! Engoy it!!!!!
