On August 12th, 2020, on Sombrosa st. Cade, an 8 year old boy, in 3rd grade, learned that there would be a local bike race in his town for 8 and 9 year olds in 8 days. However, Wyatt, who is in 4th grade, would bully Cade repeatedly for not knowing how to ride a bike and for what he looks like. Cade is as skinny as a stick, he also has lots of freckles so he has been bullied a lot at his school.
One day after school, Cade was walking home then a shadow appeared and Wyatt zoomed past Cade, like a cheetah, hitting a puddle right into Cade’s face “SPLASH!” Wyatt starts laughing so hard he almost falls over. Wyatt stomped in his tracks and saw Cade brushing himself off from the water. “Hey loser did you hear about the bike race next week, you should come compete, oh wait you can’t ride a bike!” Yelled Wyatt. Wyatt is thinking how easy the race is going to be and how he doesn't even have to try. Everyone loves Wyatt and wants to be like him. Wyatt trains everyday riding his bike.
Cade was trying to ignore Wyatt but it made him think that he will go in the race to prove Wyatt wrong. Cade arrives home stomping as loud as thunder into his room crying. Then his Mom comes in to comfort Cade. Cade said, “Mom I want to be in the bike race to stop being bullied by Wyatt.”Cade is thinking how he is going to beat Wyatt in the race. Wyatt is so strong and tall and Cade doesn’t have a chance. Cade sees him go outside everyday and ride his bike easily.
The next day, Cade is invited to his friends house, George. While at George’s house, Cade expresses, “Wyatt bullies me for not knowing how to ride a bike, and I want to learn so Wyatt won’t bully me anymore.”
George says, “my dad was an former BMX rider and he can teach you how to ride his bike.” Cade jumped so high that he could feel the clouds on his face.

George says, “my dad is at work right now so we can just play games or go outside until he gets back.” Cade and George play video games the whole time until his dad is back. When George's dad is back, he tells him about Cade and his dad responds, he will teach him. Cade was so excited that his eyes almost fell out.
