One day when Marie Curie was ten years old her oldest sister Zofia was sick and died from a disease called typhus.

Marie Curie and Pierre Curie both spent a lot of time working on experiments together. But Pierre had a job as a teacher at a university. When he wasn't there Marie would do experiments by herself

Short after Marie's death she was buried in the Pantheon in Paris. This making her the first women to be buried in the Pantheon.

On July 4, 1934 Marie Curie past away at age 67. Back then People did not know why she died. Later after Marie's death doctors found that the radioactivity had caused her death. Marie had caught a blood disease called Aplastic Anaemia.

Marie Curie grew up in Warsaw, Poland. She was born on November 7, 1867 (almost 200 years ago!) Both of Marie's parents where teachers, her dad would teach Math and Physics and her mom was a Principle at a all girls school.

After Marie Curie graduated college. She married a man named Pierre Curie. They had two daughters together, one named Irène Joliot-Curie and their other daughter was named Ève Curie.

Marie Curie grew up with 4 other siblings. Her other siblings where&nbsp;Zosia, Józef, Bronya and Hela. Zosia being the oldest and Marie being the youngest

One day Pierre died at age 47. The cause of his death was a street accident, he slipped and fell under a horse-drawn cart. Even though this happened Marie continued their research and even started teaching at the university Pierre taught at.
