The female green sea turtle uses her front flippers to dig a large hole in the sand (hides eggs from predators).

 A hatchling pecks its way out of its shell by using a sharp tooth on its beak.

Fun Fact<br/>Green sea turtles live water that is super salty. They excrete salt from their eyes. People think that they’re crying, but they’re not.

When green turtles are young they eat worms, crustaceans, insects and plants. When they are adults, they are only herbivores.  No other type of sea turtle is only a herbivore.

I’m hungry. I want seaweed. Good thing I have a sharp beak to tear and cut plants very well.
