A glacier is a big chunk of ice that is created from falling and accumulated snow over a period of time. They get created in areas where the temperatures are exceedingly low. Due to heat changes, especially to relatively high temperatures, the Glacier melting occurs a process where the ice changes from solid to liquid or water. In the recent past, scientists have discovered an alarming rate of glacier melting. This intense melting of glaciers is producing a big ripple effect like extreme flooding and biodiversity loss, and scientists have warned that the world is losing its ice fast.

The chemical compound carbon dioxide (also known by its shorthand CO2) is the primary greenhouse gas and driver of climate change. It’s an integral part of life cycles on earth, produced through animal respiration (including human respiration) and absorbed by plants to fuel their growth, to name just two ways. Human activities are drastically altering the carbon cycle in many ways. Two of the most impactful are: one, by burning fossil fuels and adding more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere; and two, by affecting the ability of natural sinks (like forests) to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

The ozone layer is an area in the Earth's stratosphere where the concentration of ozone is higher than in other parts of the atmosphere. Also it protects us from ultraviolet radiation from the sun, which causes diseases such as cancer and cataracts. If it did not exist, we would burn alive. Due to, the greenhouse effect is perforating and provoking the entry of ultraviolet radiation, causing negative radiative forcing, melanomas, cataracts and affecting vegetation.

Renewable energy is energy that comes from naturally replenished resources, such as sunlight, wind, waves, and geothermal heat. By the end of 2014, renewables were estimated to make up almost 28% of the world’s power generating capacity, enough to supply almost 23% of global electricity. Because renewables don’t produce the greenhouse gases driving climate change, shifting away from fossil fuels to renewables to power our lives will put us on the path to a safe, sustainable planet for future generations.

The combustion of these fuels generates emissions of gases such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and other gases that have contributed and still contribute to the greenhouse effect, acid rain, air, soil and water pollution.

Another effect of climate change is the increase of temperature and it is really bad: many biodiversity can’t survive and glaciers are melting. The increase of temperature also brings physical problems to humans.&nbsp;

Global warming is causing global mean sea level to rise in two ways. First, glaciers and ice sheets worldwide are&nbsp;melting and adding water to the ocean. Second, the volume of the ocean is expanding as the water warms. A third, much smaller contributor to sea level rise is a decline in the amount of liquid water on land-aquifers, lakes and reservoirs, rivers, soil moisture. This shift of liquid water from land to ocean is largely due to groundwater pumping.

Water's extensive capability to dissolve a variety of molecules has earned it the designation of “universal solvent,” and it is this ability that makes water such an invaluable life-sustaining force. On a biological level,&nbsp;water's role as a solvent helps cells transport and use substances like oxygen or nutrients.

The quality of the air is&nbsp;a measure of how clean or polluted the air is. Monitoring air quality is important because polluted air can be bad for our health—and the health of the environment. The quality of air is measured with the Air Quality Index, or AQI.

Biodiversity is diversity among and within plant and animal species in an environment. Climate change has a severe negative effect on biodiversity. Biodiversity is important to maintain a healthy environment, but we humans depend on&nbsp;biodiversity&nbsp;as well for medicines, food, and the joy we get from seeing flourishing plants and animals.

Deforestation is the result of cutting down large sums of trees in a specific area. In order to make space for buildings or to collect&nbsp;wood, people will cut trees down in enormous amounts. An example of how big that amount is, is that in the course of a year, areas of trees the size of Bangledash, which is a fairly big country, are being cut down.

Deforestation is the cutting down of trees in a large area, or the destruction of forests by people. Deforestation is destroying large areas of tropical rain forest. A forest in good conditions regulates the global climate, houses a great biological wealth, supplies much of the water we consume and is home to millions of living beings that depend directly on them for their subsistence. High and growing demands for wood products for construction, papermaking and furniture are part of these causes. As well as obtaining land for agriculture, livestock or for mining purposes, deforestation problems have also been impacted by the fact that the increase in urban areas, commercial or industrial construction are supported by the felling of forest areas.
