Mr. Ant's Journey

It's been a long day. Night is approaching and Mr. Ant is all alone. “I have to do something about the other creatures before I get eaten,” thought Mr. Ant.

“I need a volunteer to go out and retrieve an apple from the tree.” the queen said. Mr. Ant, a brave but weak one, finds this is his time to shine. “I will go and find the apple for all of us!” Mr. Ant yelled bravely.

Mr. Mantis cuts the apple off and they fall with it as it hits the ground and lands on its side. Just like that, they knew they had to run backwards to stay on.

The very next morning he, woke up feeling refreshed and continued on with his journey.

Mr. Ant and Mr. Mantis came rolling all the way back!

As all his fellow ants say their goodbyes, Mr. Ant heads out of the burrow on his treacherous journey to get the big red apple his nest desperately needs.

The entire nest is outside cheering as they roll in. 

Mr. Ant went from confused, to terrified. “I can’t, I don’t even know how to swim!” Mr. Ant cried. “It will be ok, just follow my lead” Mr. Mantis reassured. Mr. Mantis then proceeded to teach Mr. Ant how to river surf. After a while, Mr. Ant got the hang of it.&nbsp;

“I need to build a shelter!” Mr. Ant exclaimed out loud. So, Mr. Ant gathered some sticks and rocks and built himself a shelter.

“Nest Meeting everyone!” Yelled The queen ant. All of the ants gathered around and the queen ant spilled the news. “ The nest is nearly out of food.” The queen exclaimed.

Then it hit him,&nbsp; “You can use your claws to chop the stem!” Mr. Ant excitedly yells to Mr. Mantis.&nbsp; “Good thinking kid, you're a natural!” Mr. Mantis told him. Mr. Ant felt more proud than ever.&nbsp;

“This here is the river, what you want is just across it." Explained Mr. Mantis. "Thankfully, I have crossed this river plenty of times,” Mr. Mantis said very proudly.&nbsp; “Yeah? And how do I do that?” Mr. Ant was confused. “River surf,” said Mr. Mantis.

Along his journey, he passes by a small bush and is stopped by a lone traveler, Mr. Mantis. He's a strange and mysterious traveler.

Mr. Ant and Mr. Mantis arrive together with a beautiful apple. Now there is enough food to last a while! Mr. Ant became the hero of the nest. All of the ants together built Mr. Mantis a nice shelter so he could live with the nest and go on adventures with Mr. Ant for the rest of his life. The End

They are able to steer the rolling apple in the direction they came from. The apple floats across the river, past the temporary shelter.

After mastering the river, Mr. Ant and Mr. Mantis finally reach the apple tree. They climb the tree together and find the perfect apple. “We have to find a way to cut it down, but how?” Mr. Ant thought out loud.

An ant from the crowd steps up and explains to the queen, "There is an apple tree in the distance and if someone could get it, we would be saved."
