Charlotte Bronte was born at a time of great change in Britain. During this time, Britain was a rich and very strong nation. Most people during Charlotte Bronte’s time had strong religious beliefs. Marriage and church-going were thought to be very important.
Charlotte used in Jane Eyre some of her own experiences of life and love and also reflected on some of injustices of her time.
