How do we grow seeds in our new planet?Loading...
French experiments
Italians sent seeds to the French
picture of the seeds
Finally, we think that they are seeds of red hot chilli pepper. We haven't yet obtained the fruits but we found by comparing the leaves of the plants that have grown with internet photos.
At the beginning of the experiment (observing the seeds), we thought they were seeds of:
-broccoli,
-beetroot,
-olive tree,
-mint,
-basil,
-green beans,
-red beans,
-zucchini,
-peppers,
-thyme,
-cucumber

Results:
Results:
In pot A1, seeds germinated and then the plant rotted.
In pot A2, seeds germinated.
In pot A3, seeds didn't germinate.
In pot A2, seeds germinated.
In pot A3, seeds didn't germinate.
In pot B1, pot B2, pot B3 and pot B4, seeds germinated.
Conclusions:
To germinate, seeds don't need soil.
Conclusions:
To germinate, seeds need water.
C. Light is needed.
D. Heat is needed.

Results:
Results:
In pot C1 and in pot C2, seeds germinated.
In pot D1, seeds didn't germinate.
In pot D2, seeds germinated.
In pot D2, seeds germinated.
Conclusions:
Conclusions:
To germinate, seeds don't need light.
To germinate, seeds need heat.
Conclusions of the French germination lab:
The seed doesn’t need soil or light to germinate because it uses its reserves (cotyledons).
However, the seed needs water and heat.
We sowed seeds using compost, and we found that the fastest growing plant was in the pot with compost.
