One hot summer day, a young mouse named Timmy came out of his burrow in search of food so he could stay in his cozy home all summer.

Timmy was walking through the forest, he was lost, he was surrounded by a large number of trees, which were compared to his height and were even taller from his point of view. He walked a few more meters and came to a stream. Seeing the refreshing river, the idea came to him to cool off a bit by drinking some water.

As he drank, he heard a noise coming from the opposite shore. Sound you paid no attention to.
On the other side of the river was Anika, the snake, she had been stalking the mouse for hours, trying to find the perfect moment to manage to devour it.
Little by little the snake was approaching silently. When she advanced far enough to be a few inches from Timmy, a branch snapped, instantly alerting the little animal that was aware of the terrifying scene.

At that precise moment, he, who was really scary, froze, shaking and not knowing what to do.
-I'm going to eat you! - exclaimed the snake scaring the mouse

-I'm too young to die, NO PLEASE! - begged the mouse

The snake stopped to think for a moment that the mouse could help him in what she cannot do because she does not have arms.

-Okay, but on one condition - said the snake

-Which one? - Timmy the mouse asked with a ray of hope

-You will have to help me transport the food to my house for a while since I do not have arms, and as you will understand I could not do it alone - added the snake

- Okay - said Timmy - I will -
As the days went by, Timmy and Anika got to know each other, she ended up forgetting the deal established with Timmy. And the mouse no longer mattered having to keep the snake company.

-Thank you for everything Timmy, but today will be the last day you have to help me. Tomorrow you can leave - Anika announced with a certain tone of sadness

- But I want to continue helping you, what do you think if I help you and in exchange you let me stay here? So we can keep each other company during the summer!

Anika accepted the new deal that Timmy proposed to her and as the summer passed they became great friends.
