You have the right:
To be treated equally and as an adult.

To learn at your own pace in a safe working environment.

To have your privacy respected.

To be involved in your learning.

To talk to your tutor in confidence about your learning and how you are getting on.

To be made aware of and take part in activities in the centre.

To be free from bullying, slagging, intimidation and harassment.
It is your responsibility to:
Treat everyone in the centre with respect.

Use appropriate language.

Not attend class under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Be on time and prepared for your class.

Be an equal partner in your learning.
Everybody must abide by the Equality Legislation which says that nobody can be discriminated against because of their gender, marital status, disability, race, colour, ethnic or national origin, sexual orientation, age or political or religious beliefs.
Anybody who does not respect the agreement may be asked to leave.

Take turns when talking. 

Take our time and give others time to work things out. 

Work with someone else. 

Work in a small group. 

Talk about the work we are doing. 

Respect other people. 

Do not laugh at someone else – we are all doing our best.

● Try to stay for the full class. 
● Call if you are not going to be in.
● Turn off your mobile phone. Or put it on silent – unless it is an emergency. 
● Do not chew gum. 
● Leave the room as you find it. 
● Bring a pen and paper. 
● Try and do some extra work at home. 
● Make sure to turn your computer on and off properly. 
● Speak English only in your class. 

● Have food or drink in the canteen only. 

Water is fine in your class – preferably in a bottle.
