Writing the Date Some forms ask for dates to be written in a special way. When you see dd/mm/yyyy:&nbsp;a digit/number is needed in each box. You need 2 numbers for the day - DD You need 2 numbers for the month - MM Use a 0 before a single digit. 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09 then 10, 11, ... You need 4 numbers for the year: YYYY	 1972 or 2023

To write the date: 12 October 1944 dd/mm/yyyy 	12/10/1944

To write the date: 1 September 1944 dd/mm/yyyy 		01/09/1944 This one is where you put a 0 in front of a single digit.

Make sure you know how to write your date of birth in this way. 

Voter.ie is currently only operational for the Dublin area. Applicants moving&nbsp;to&nbsp;or&nbsp;from&nbsp;&nbsp;counties outside Dublin can do so through&nbsp;<a href="http://www.checktheregister.ie/" style="color: rgb(17, 85, 204);">www.checktheregister.ie</a>.&nbsp; Please note applicants moving out of Dublin will need to select “I’m not Registered” and enter their new address. You will need to contact your previous County Council to remove yourself from that register.

PPSN Your Personal Public Service Number (PPS number or PPSN) is given by the Department of Social Protection.
