Data handling during the Foundation Phase,
is a process where information is gathered and
recorded and then presented in a way that is
significant and useful to others.
Data handling is also known as statistics,
and is taught gradually over time
during the Foundation Phase.

Types of Data Handling:

Tally charts : is a way of counting and
recording frequency.

Data handling or statistics can be presented
in various different forms, such as:

7. Histogram
8. Stem and leaf plots
9. Tally charts
10. Frequency table.

Pie chart : is a graph which represents data
in a circle and each part of the pie
represents a different data set.

Mean mode and median.

Mean also known as the average is the addition of all the numbers in a data set divided by the sum of the number value in the data set.

Mode
Is the number value which occurs most in a set of data.

Median is the middle value when numbers in a data set are placed in order either from ascending order smallest to biggest or descending order biggest to smallest.
