CHAPTER SUBTITLE
CHAPTER 1
In the beginning, when the world was new, there was a Rabbit who couldn’t hear her friends or family. In her spare time, she would hunt for food or try to play with her friends. Rabbit, who was playful and energetic, twitched her nose in response if anyone talked to her.
One sunny, early morning, a Hedgehog walked over the lush, green forest floor and saw Rabbit. Hedgehog, who was shy, fearful and covered with spikes, walked up to Rabbit and announced, “Hi Rabbit! Do you want to come and find berries with the rest of us?” Rabbit just twitched his nose in confusion. “How rude!” exclaimed Hedgehog, thinking that she was ignoring him. He slowly stumbled away to tell the ruler of the Woodlands, Fairy.

Moments later, a clever, energetic squirrel darted towards her and shouted,” Hello Rabbit! Come and collect some fruit with the rest of us!” As a response, Rabbit just twitched her nose at the brown, deep eyed Squirrel. As quick as a flash, Squirrel had gone to tell the Fairy.
Suddenly, a Robin flew down from the deep blue sky and suggested in a very polite and elegant tone,” Good morning Rabbit! Come and roam the forest floor for worms with the rest of us!” Once again, Rabbit just twitched her nose in response and Robin flew away to tell Fairy.

The next day, Fairy visits Rabbit and her friends and grants her wish. Fairy puts the longest leaves on the top of Rabbits head and with a flick of a wand, the leaves gradually begin to be covered with white, soft fur. Rabbit couldn’t believe it! She could hear extremely well!
From that day on, Rabbit can hear better than all of the other animals and can hear anything from miles and miles away!
