Tuckers House was built in 1752 and in 1755 Sir Henry Tucker and the Tuckers moved into the house. Tuckers House also was involved in a scandal called the Gunpowder Plot. The Gunpowder Plot was a scandal occurred because Henry Tucker wanted to trade salt with the Continental Congress in America, however the Americans wanted to trade gunpowder. The Plot was planned by the Tuckers in Tuckers House. So the Americans came in ships to Bermuda in the night and the Bermudians traded gunpowder.
