Pilot Darrell Square was extremely important as James darrell a free slave bought his house and was one of the first free slaves to buy his own house. James Darrell was a pilot whose job was to steer boats past the reef to Bermuda. He was known for piloting the HMS Resolution which was a humongus warship with tons of cannons and supplies. Comissioner's House is located at the premises of National Museum of Bermuda at Dockyard, Commissioner's House once used to be the home of the Dockyard Commissioner and thus the name. This is a beautiful Georgian House built in 1820s and the first ever cast iron house in the world. In fact the frame of the building was cast in England and then brought to Bermuda.&nbsp; The commissioner who was the overall in-charge of the dockyard, used to live in this building between 1827 - 1837. After that, the building was taken over by the British army.&nbsp;

The Town Crier was used for making public announcements and giving out punishments for the wrongdoing such as: dunking people in water. This is seen in the picture to your right.

Jeffreys cave is located at the Spittal Pond Nature reserve. It is named after a slave who hid from his master in this cave for a month. Now That's long! He was Found when a young slave girl aged 15, kept disappearing every night with a small packet so the master and his friend retraced her steps and found Jeffrey. The admission to Spittal Pond Nature reserve is free.

Black Bermudians became active supporters of the Methodism ever since missionary. John Stephenson came to the Island in 1799 and was jailed the following year for preaching to the slaves.

The lane on which the church is located has been named&nbsp;Moonlight Lane&nbsp;since much of the work was done under moonlight. It is today the oldest Methodist building existing in Bermuda.&nbsp;

At Mitchell House the sattle was used as a bed, couch and storage. They would eat potatoes and other vegetables. The furniture is made out of cedar and mahogany. Mitchel House has a bible from 1644 (375 years old).

St. Peter's church is the oldest anglican church in the western hemisphere as it is over 400 years old! White peoples graves are much larger than black peoples graves. There is a seperate graveyard between white and black people's graves.

The lost at sea memorial was created in memory of slaves and free blacks who lost their lives in the ocean. During 18th and 19th centuries, Bermuda's economy depended a lot on the sea. Lot of slaves and free blacks spent their lives on the sea being pilots and doing whaling and fishing.&nbsp;It is a very amazing site. 

Barr's Bay is where the slave ship the enterprise was blown off course and ended up in bermuda. By this time slavery had been stopped in bermuda but was still going on in the America. A long debate the decision was that the slaves could either live in bermuda free, or could travel back to America and stay a slave. All but 1 mother and her 5 children chose to become free. The reason that they chose to go back to America was to reunite with their father who was still stuck in slavery.

Tuckers House is extremely important in many ways. Tuckers House; like most houses in this tiny archipelago was made of limestone. Tuckers House's antique furniture is made of the native Bermuda Cedar and English Mahogany. Tuckers House was built in 1752 and in 1755 Sir Henry Tucker and the Tuckers moved into the house. Tuckers House also was involved in a scandal called the Gunpowder Plot. The Gunpowder Plot was a scandal occurred because Henry Tucker wanted to trade salt with the Continental Congress in America, however the Americans wanted to trade gunpowder. The Plot was planned by the Tuckers in Tuckers House. So the Americans came in ships to Bermuda in the night and the Bermudians traded gunpowder.

Fun Fact: Tuckers House was built on Water street. The street was called 'water street' because the street used to be by the water when all of the buildings weren't built to block the water.
