THE MISCHIEVOUS TWINS' ADVENTURES

‘’ Yes, So…? answers John. ‘’ I think there’s a flag with a star on it. '' Could this be the star we’re looking for? ” Jane yells excitedly. “ But how can we get there? We cannot swim that far. ” says John. “ We can ask that man over there.He has a boat. ” Jane points and they run towards the man standing behind a white boat. “ Hello sir.Can you take us to that small island. ” John asks with a smile. “ Good morning kids.Of course I can.Hop on.&nbsp;” the man says and helps the twins get on board.He starts the engine and the boat sets sail slowly. “ Everybody looks so small from here! ” yells Jane and runs to the back side of the boat. “ My name is John and she is my sister,Jane. ” says John. “ What is your name sir? ” Jane asks.

The twins leave the library and set off to the vet. However,on the way Jane turns to John and says&nbsp; ‘’ John,I have a terrible headache and it’s getting dark. Maybe we should continue tomorrow. ‘’ ‘’ You’re right and mom might be worried. ‘’ says John. Because Jane feels ill they decide not to go to the vet. ‘’ Are you feeling better? ‘’ asks John to Jane when they arrive home. ‘’ I’m very tired so I don’t know ‘’ says Jane. They both go straight to their bedrooms.Their mum comes in and asks them how their day was.John tells her everything excitedly; the music they hear, the festival, the tournament, library, book…Their mother gives a painkiller to Jane, kisses them both good night. She leaves the room and the twins fall asleep exhausted but excited and happy for their new adventure the following day.

They walk towards the woman standing at the door.

Jane continues looking at cinema guide trying to find an enjoyable movie for both of them when she stops and calls out to John who is playing a game on play station&nbsp;‘’ I found a great action film INCEPTION, What do you think? ‘’ says Jane.&nbsp; ‘’ Sounds great.I love action.What time is it on? ‘’ says John.&nbsp; ‘’ Let me see,Here it says at half past three. ‘’ says Jane. ‘’ Well it’s quarter to 3.Let’s get ready and go out, then. ‘’ says John.

Just then she shouts ‘’ Look John, I found it I&nbsp; found it ‘’ John was puzzled. ‘’ I don’t understand Jane,What is it? ‘’ says John. ‘’ Here….Look,the posters of the movies.There is a message.Can’t you see,silly? ‘’ says Jane. John looks at the posters and sees what Jane saw. There is a message in the names of the movies on the posters.The B in ME BEFORE YOU, The E in INTERSTALLER, The A in ICE AGE, The C in INCEPTION, The H in The SHINING are all written in red.

Jane’s headache continues from yesterday which was a very tiring but an exciting day for both of them.John calls out to their mum and their mother runs into the room.She puts her hand on Jane’s forehead and notices that she has a high fever so she asks John to bring some painkillers for his sister. ‘’ You need to take these honey,you have a temperature. ‘’ says their mother. ‘’ Mum,I can’t sollow my throat hurts. ‘’ says Jane. ‘’ Hımmm… let me see.I think we should go to the hospital and see the doctor. ‘’ says their mum. Jane doesn’t like going to the hospital. '' No hospital,give me the medicine. ‘’ says Jane.

‘’ John,I'm sorry&nbsp;but mom says that I'm the sweet one. ‘’ Anyway, Hi to Everyone! My name is Jane, John's twin and this is me: I'm 11 years old.My friends think I'm hardworking. Actually, I am the most hardworking student in school.I get the highest grades.I’m very punctual because I hate being late.I never lie to people so I’m honest.I'm more serious than John.John is much more cheerful.We sometimes argue,but I love him.Now that we have introduced ourselves to you,we can begin to tell you about our adventures.So fasten your seat belts, here we go.....

Hi Everyone, I'm John and I have a twin sister, Jane. I would like to talk about myself ; I'm John and I'm 11 years old.I am a student at Meadows Secondary School.I like helping people,my friends say that I’m generous because I give people gifts.I like making people happy.I dislike waiting so they tell me I'm impatient.I love talking and communicating with my friends and finally, my mother always calls me my cute son.

‘’ I can’t answer your question,you need to find that out for yourselves. ‘’ replies the host. They both look at each other and shout ‘’ Let’s go. ‘’ ‘’ Look at the map Jane,how do we get to the marked place? ‘’ says John as the twins leave the festival. ‘’ Why must l look at the map and read it? ‘’ Jane grumbles angrily. ‘’ Because I won the competition and I’m in charge now '' scolds John. ‘’ Fine ‘’ says Jane taking the map. ‘’ So,How should we go there? ‘’ asks John ‘’ At the end of this street,we should turn left first.Then go straight ahead,pass the bakery and turn left again. Walk past the pharmacy,greengrocer,florist and finally turn right into King Street and we’re there. ‘’ They see a library on the way and enter it.

‘’ Would you like to join us? ‘’ asks the boy holding the ball in his hands. ‘’ No,thanks.We are actually on a mission so we have no time to play. ‘’ says Jane. The boy wishes them good luck and runs off to continue playing volleyball. ‘’ Hey Jane ,What are we exactly looking for? ‘’ asks John. ‘’ I don’t know but there must be a sign or something for us to find.’’ answers Jane. ‘’ The message was just BEACH.I don’t think we will find anything here.Let’s go and have some fun. ’’ says John. ‘’ No John,I know…There is a sign….. a sign…… ‘’ continues Jane and stops. Just then, ‘’ There…… ’’ shouts Jane. John&nbsp;is puzzled.‘’ What? There…? There what? ‘’ says John.

“ Nice to meet you.I’m Lucas.Why are you guys going to the island? ” he asks curiously. “ We’re trying to solve this weird symbol writing. ” Jane says and shows Lucas the paper. “ Oh, good luck then. ” he says. The boat reaches the island.Lucas helps the kids get off the boat.The kids thank him and begin searching for the flag. “ There it is! ” John says and runs to the flag with a star on it. ‘’ We found the flag with the star,now what ? ‘’ says Jane. Then she stamps her foot on the sand disappointedly and says ‘’ that’s strange, the sand is hard like a rock.’’ So they dig under the flag and find a treasure chest.

Suddenly the lights turn off and it’s pitch black inside. People start to get nervous and John does too. He starts to cry.Jane tries to comfort him and tells him to remember the words WATCH OUT FOR THE LIGHT. John calms down. ‘’ John,I know,I know….’’ Jane says. ‘’ What do you know? ‘’ asks John. ‘’ Don’t you get it?It’s another secret word for us. ‘’ replies Jane. Jane gets up and rushes out of the salon they were in. ‘' Hey Jane,wait for me……. ‘’ calls John behind Jane. ‘’ Watch out for the light and you will see…hımmm… ’’ Jane was repeating the words outside the salon. ‘’ See what Jane? ‘’ John asks Jane. ‘’ Oh John,don’t you understand,he wants us to see something in the light…. It must be around here but what ??? ‘’ says Jane.

15 minutes later the twins finally arrive at the end of the ride and they become very surprised because a lot of people are waiting for them outside.They are smiling and singing Happy Birthday. Today is their birthday and the twins forgot it.All of their relatives and friends are there.The twins are really happy. ‘’ Happy birthday.Come on,blow the candles and make a wish. ‘’ says their mum hugging both of them. Jane and John blow out the candles. ‘’ Thank you mum! ‘’ says Jane. ‘’ We love you mum. ‘’ says John. Jane suddenly notices her dad. ‘’ Dad? You’re back! ‘’ shouts Jane happily. Jane and John run to their dad and hug him.Their dad hugs them,too.He is a soldier and he was on a mission for a long time.But finally he is here. ‘’Happy birthday, Go on, have fun. ‘’ says their dad.

‘’ WOWW! ‘’ gasps Jane. ‘’ What a big festival ! ‘’ says John. They start walking among the crowd when John sees a poster with the words ; TOURNAMENT WITH AN AWARD ! John points to the poster shouts ‘’ Jane,look.... ‘’ ‘’ Why are we waiting,let’s... ‘’ before Jane finishes her sentence John runs off to the tournament area. They join in the dart tournament.At the end John gets 142 points,player 1 gets 125 ,player 2 gets 133 and Jane gets 106 points. ‘’ Hahaha,you’re really bad. ‘’ says John laughing at Jane. Jane is angry but she congratulates&nbsp;her sibling by saying&nbsp; ‘’ Great job. ‘’ The host announces the winners of the competition and gives an envelope to John. ‘’ What's this? '' John asks surprisingly. ‘’ Open it ‘’ says the host.

The Twins get ready and leave to go downtown as the cinema is in the city center and their house is uptown. They arrive at the cinema at quarter past three.The smell of the popcorn is delicious so they go to the popcorn stand and buy popcorn and sodas to munch on while they are watching the film.The film is very exciting and they enjoy watching it.Suddenly the screen goes black and then Dumbledore from Harry Potter appears on the screen.John and Jane are both scared but also thrilled. ‘’ Isn’t that Dumbledore? What is happening? ‘’ asks John.&nbsp; ‘’ Wait John, I think this is another message.Let’s see…. ‘’ says Jane.

CHAPTER 1 On a sunny summer day the twins are playing football in the garden in front of their house. Jane hits the ball and the ball tumbles onto the road.They both start to run after it but out of nowhere comes a car and drives over their ball and BOMB,it bursts loudly. ‘’ Oh,No! ‘’ says John. ‘’ Seriously? ‘’ says Jane. Disappointed with what just had happened they start walking sadly on the street when Jane hears something and stops to ask John ‘’ Do you hear that? ‘’ ‘’ It sounds like music but where is it coming from? ‘’ says John. ‘’ Let’s go,check it out. ‘’ says Jane but John refuses. ‘’ Come on John,don’t be such a scary cat! ‘’ says Jane.

‘’ Mum,can we go outside for few hours with Jane? ‘’ John asks. ‘’ No,you can’t.You need to be at home when your grandparents arrive. ‘’ says their mum. ‘’ But you said they are coming for dinner and it’s only morning so we have plenty of time till evening. ‘’ says Jane. ‘’ Then you can help me run some errands.Jane can you tidy your room and John please take the rubbish out. ‘’ Their mum says as she leaves the kitchen. ‘’ Fine mummmmm!!! ’’ they mumble. A couple of hours later their mom calls out to the twins ‘’I’m going to the groccery and will come back in an hour.Please behave and don’t leave the house. ‘’ She waves goodbye to the twins and leaves the house.

CHAPTER 3 The twins are sitting in their living room wondering about the last note they found on the cat’s collar.So they decide to go to the cinema. ‘’ Look John,there are great movies on at the Moonlight cinema. ’’ says Jane. ‘’ Great,what shall we watch? ‘’ says John. ‘’ How about watching a romance? My favorite is ME BEFORE YOU. ‘’ says Jane.&nbsp; ‘’ No way,I hate romantic films. ‘’ says John.&nbsp; ‘’ What about a sci-fi? INTERSTALLER? ‘’ says Jane. ‘’ Nope,not interesting. ‘’ says John. ‘’ Hımmm…. An animation? Here it says ICE AGE on the screens again. ‘’ says Jane. ‘’ No Jane,we’re too old for animations. ‘’&nbsp;says John.&nbsp; ‘’ I don’t agree with you.I love watching animations. ‘’ says Jane.&nbsp;

In the room,there is a table and some chairs.There are 4 cats sleeping on the table.Jane and John notice that one cat is not sleeping. ‘’ Aunt,why isn’t that cat over there sleeping? Is it ill? ‘’ asks Jane. ‘’ That’s a kitten honey.It isn’t sleeping because it’s very energetic and doesn’t like sleeping very much. ‘’ replies aunt Sally.The cute kitten looks at the twins. ‘’ Would you like to feed it? ‘’ asks aunt Sally. ‘’ Ohh, Can we? '' say John and Jane.

In the library they show the map to the librarian.The librarian points to a table and says&nbsp; ‘’ See that table over there, it’s this table here on the map. ‘’ They thank the old man and go to the table.On the table they see the book TOM SAWYER AND HIS ADVENTURES. ‘’ Oh look Jane, my favorite book ‘’ says John. ‘’ Mine too ‘’ says Jane and she takes the book from John. ‘’ Look John, there’s a memo here ‘’ she says.&nbsp; ‘’ What does it say? ‘’ asks John.&nbsp; ‘’ It’s a riddle ‘’ replies Jane. ‘’ Let me look at it ‘’. says John. The twins sit at the table and after some time they manage to solve the riddle. ‘’ I think the keyword is VET ‘’ says John. ‘’ I agree ‘’ says Jane. ‘’ Do you think it’s telling us to go to the vet? ‘’ asks John. ‘’ Why not! ‘’ says Jane.

'’ I know.It’s a short ride so don’t worry.Let's go and then we will solve the last password. ‘’ promises John. They go towards the horror house.They get their tickets and sit in their seats.The ride starts and they see different kinds of scary things.Jane screams and John laughs at her.Suddenly the ride stops.An announcement is made : ‘’ Dear guests, the electricity panel is broken.The mechanic is here now.Please stay in your seats until we have repaired the ride.Don’t be scared.‘’

The twins have an amazing day.They open their presents one by one.The last one is their mum's gift.It was a a big puzzle to be solved. ‘’ Mum seriously? Again? ‘’ says John. ‘’ I don't want puzzles anymore! ‘’ says Jane. Everyone laughs at them.The twins laugh too. They eat their cake and have a great time with their friends and family.This was the most incredible and adventurous birthday they had ever had.

Then Dumbledore begins to speak :&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; ‘’ It can be found even in the darkest times,patience and curiosity is what you need.Be very careful,watch out for the light and you will see… ‘’ Jane turns to John and says ‘’ What does he mean John? Did you understand anything? ‘’

‘’ Hi ma’am.We are looking for King cafe in this street. ‘’ says Jane. ‘’ This is The King’s cafe.King cafe is a block away. You are at the wrong cafe. ‘’ says the woman looking at the twins. ‘’ Oh really?Thank you so much miss. ‘’ says John. They say goodbye to the woman and leave. ‘’ Well,what are we going to do now? ‘’ says Jane. ‘’ The lady said a block away.We can get there in 3 minutes if we run. ‘’ says John. They run a block.When they arrive in front of the cafe, they see different kinds of rides there in the field next to it. ‘’ Wow,It's like an amusement park.Shall we go on the rides? ‘’ says John. ‘’ But we came here to solve the last riddle and mum might be home any minute.We have to hurry. '' says Jane.

‘’ What’s that ? ‘’ asks John. Jane was already digging to take out what looked like the top of a bottle. A few minutes later Jane finally managed to take the bottle out of the sand completely. There is a piece of paper in the bottle. Jane tries to open the bottle but can’t. ‘’ Give it to me. ’’ says John. Jane hands the bottle to John and after trying with all his strength John manages to open the bottle.He pulls the paper out of the bottle and says&nbsp; ‘’ Look Jane, there’s strange writing here. ‘’ “ Can you read it? ” asks Jane.John looks confused. “ No.It’s not in English.There are weird symbols here. ” says John. “ Look,it says FIND THE STAR underneath these symbols which seem to be some kind of writing. ” says Jane.

“ Open it,open it! ” yells Jane. Quickly but carefully they open the chest and see another piece of paper in it. “ This paper has those weird symbols too but with the English alphabet next to them.” Jane says and looks at the first paper. '' We can decode&nbsp;the first message in the bottle now! ” says Jane. The twins sit on a rock and slowly solve the first note. It started to make sense now. “ And this letter is supposed to be this symbol. ” John says and reads the deciphered note. Go to King Cafe next Saturday,at 2pm. With great joy and proud of themselves the twins get back on the boat which was waiting for them.They are very excited because they know that they are really close to completing their mission they had started……..

CHAPTER 5 It’s Saturday morning and the twins wake up very excitedly.Because they are very close to solving the puzzle and completing their mission.They get dressed with lightning speed.When they go into the kitchen they see their mother cooking something in a hurry.Luckily the&nbsp;table is ready for them. ‘’ Good morning mum. ‘’ they say to their mum. ‘’ Good morning angels. ‘’ their mum says. ‘’ Mum,why are you in a rush is there a problem? ‘’ asks Jane. ‘’ No, your grandparents are coming for dinner tonight. ‘’ replies their mum. ‘’ Is there anything we can do for you? ‘’ asks John. ‘’ No kids,just have your breakfast. ‘’ says their mum. Jane and John have their breakfast and whisper about the note they found a week ago at the beach.

CHAPTER 4 Today is Saturday.The sun is shining and it’s hot outside.In the morning Jane and John get up early.They have pancake, olives, cheese and some milk for breakfast.After breakfast they brush their teeth and get dressed.They decide to go on the next mission to the beach so they put their swimsuits in their bags and set off on their bikes to the seaside.When they reach the seaside,they lock their bikes and look at the people who are doing many things.There are a lot of people swimming in the sea,some people are playing frisbee and others are playing beach volley.While they are just looking at the people having fun John screams ‘’ Auchhh,my head! ‘’ A boy who was playing beach volley comes towards them and says ‘’ I’m really sorry.Are you OK? ‘’ ‘’ I’m fine,it’s not a problem. ‘’ says John.

“ Shall we search the beach? ” asks John and they start looking around.They find many things like seashells, unique rocks,lost jewellery but they cannot find the star. They both sweat because of the heat and get very tired.“ I’m so exhausted. ” says Jane. “ It’s very hot today,let’s get some ice-cream. ”says John. So they run to the ice-cream van.Jane gets two scoops of caramel and one scoop of vanilla and John gets two scoops of chocolate and one scoop of lemon ice-cream.They sit on a rock and happily eat their ice-cream.They watch the people quietly for a few seconds. “ Everyone is swimming and having fun. ” says John and licks his ice-cream. “ Yeah, we should come here with our friends and family.'' says Jane.

‘’ Just one ride Jane please! ‘’ pleads John. ‘’ No John! ‘’ says Jane. Jane's phone rings for a second.She takes it out. ‘’ Look,mum sent a message. ‘’ says Jane to John. Jane reads the message out loud : I will be home soon. ‘’ Come on Jane.We have no time just one ride I promise we will leave after it. ‘’ says John. Jane sighes. ‘’ We solved all the passwords.The last password was King cafe.Here we are&nbsp;and you don’t want to finish the mystery and go on a ride.If we wanted to go on rides,we would have gone to the funfair. ‘’ says Jane. ‘’ Please Jane,just one ride.Let’s go into the horror house? ‘’ begs John. ‘’ No. ‘’ says Jane. ‘’ Why?Are you scared? ‘’ asks John.

CHAPTER 2 The next day&nbsp;the twins wake up and wash their faces. Breakfast is their favorite meal so they never skip it. They like eating cheese, mushrooms, cucumber, honey and jam for breakfast.Today, their mother has prepared some omlette,toast and fresh orange juice.Everyday,after breakfast they take a shower,get dressed,style their hair.Their mum usually helps Jane tie her hair because it takes a very long time for herself to do it.They kiss their mother goodbye and their dad drives them to school. But unfortunetly,that’s not what happened today!

John and Jane open the envelope and in it there’s a map. ‘’ A map?? ‘’ John asks the host disappointedly. ‘’ Take a good look at it ‘’ replies the host with a smile on his face. John looks at the map again and points to a circle on it. ‘’ Look at this circle Jane ! ‘’ ‘’ What does it mean ? ‘’ asks Jane. They both turn to the host and ask with confused faces&nbsp; ‘’ Sir, Why is there a circle on the map? ‘’

Suddenly she stops looking around and focuses on a spot in the sea. “ What are you looking at? ” her brother asks. “ Can you see that island over there? ‘’ asks Jane.
