 My Photo Journal

So today we went on a mini Field Trip. We went to an actual photography studio. It is called Makallys photography studio. So first, she showed us around her studio. My favorite room was the supplies room it was packed with all her props. Then after we got back we learned about texture and pattern.

So we went on a field trip to MIA (Minneapolis Institute of Arts). We took photos that were important to us. Then after that we went to the sculpture garden to eat lunch. Then we took some cool photos and left.  

So on Friday we learned about perspective. There are five different types of perspective, Linear, diminishing size, height, aerial, and overlap. Then after that we cut out some rule of Thirds and perspective photos in magazines. Then we are putting the pictures in a collage.

So on Friday we did a lot of things. One thing was macro mysteries. Macro mysteries is when you really zoom into an object. (Not to much or it will look blurry). Next we where organizing all our pictures into a gallery folder. Then we did student spotlight and Teagan shared.

So in the morning we did mod podge. So first we colored our canvas with Mr. Scetch markers. Then we covered the canvas with glue. Next we put the pictures on the canvas. And there you go. Then in the afternoon we did our display board it looks really cool.

So Today we finished up our boards. Then we went to cool caves and went through the cardboard caves. Next we went to Minnesota grown and tried really awesome food. Then we went to tech ninjas and they showed us how robots work.Then we went to a styrafoam house making class that one was my favorite.

So first we went to the conservatory at the zoo, we saw all the pretty plants and took lots of pictures. Then we ate lunch at the cafe. Next we went to the pollinator exhibit and saw bees. Then we went to the monkeys they were so cute but so smelly. Then we went to the zebras and the giraffes. And that is the end!  

So we had a wacky Wednesday! All the computers were glitching, it was so weird. first, we had a scavenger hunt. All the teams went around the whole school and found things to take pictures of the 20 things. It was so fun! lastly we learned about the rule of Thirds.

So we learned about line in photography. And how line has emotions, how jagged lines emotion is rough. Secondly we learned how to transform plan old objects to letters in our name. It was really FUN!

We learned about texture and how it transforms the picture into an awesome photo! Then a speaker came in her name was Skye. She owns her own photography business, its called Skye's The Limit photography. She talked about how she takes her photos and how she does it on people to.

We did our name project. Our name project is where we went around the school and took pictures of the letters of our name. But today we put our letters on a mat/frame and string it all together to make a cool name tag.

We learned a lot on the first day of summer academy.(SA)

We learned a whole lot about the history of cameras. We learned that the first picture is more durable, than the pictures we have right now! Is that crazy or what.
