There was a white-haired man. Once on a cold
winter day, he was going to the forest after some wood. He wanted to light a pipe. While he was looking for a pipe, tobacco, and a lighter in his arms, he lost one glove.

Gymnazium, Ceske Budejovice, Jirovcova 8

We are going to show you one of the most popular fairy tales of Czech children. It is called Little Red Riding Hood.
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived near a forest. She always wore a red riding cloak,
so everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood.
One morning her mother said: „Honey, your grandma has a birthday today. Take this basket and go to visit her“
So Little Red Riding Hood grabbed the basket and kissed her mother goodbye.
„Remember to go straight to Grandma’s house“, cautioned her mother.
„Don’t worry mommy, I’ll be careful,“ said Little Red Riding Hood.

When she picked a few of them, a dark shadow was approaching behind her…

Suddenly, a wolf was next to her.
„What are you doing here little girl?“ the wolf asked her.
„I’m on my way to Grandma’s house, she lives there through the forest,“ Little Red Riding Hoodanswered.

Then she continued her way. Meanwhile, the wolf took a shortcut, so he arrived at Grandma’s house first, and knocked on the door.
„Oh thank goodness! Come in, honey! I was worried that something had happened…“ said Grandma, but
she did not have time to say another word, because the wolf ate her! He then picked her night dress and went to bed to wait for Little Red Riding Hood.

„It’s me, Grandma!“
„Come in, dear!“ the wolf said.
When Little Red Riding Hood entered the house, she couldn’t recognize her Grandma.
