George Washington Carver was famous for teaching farmers to grow sweet potatoes and peanuts. He found ways to make cheese, peanuts, soap, ink, molasses, rubber, and glue all out of peanuts! Mr. Carver was an amazing scientist.

WHAT WAS HIS CHILDHOOD LIKE?

George Washington Carver finished high school in 1884 and he went to college in Iowa. He went to college to eventually teach at Tuskegee Institute in Alabama.
