Introduction
Imagine. It’s a Monday morning at 8 o’clock. You as a teacher, are getting ready to teach your LO lesson on Common Diseases, to 25 grade 7 learners. The learners, however, are rowdy. The classroom is noisy, and there is a significant level of disruption, preventing you from effectively beginning the Lesson. How would you as a teacher deal with the above scenario? That is the main concern of this discussion. The idea of classroom management as well as its numerous practical implications, in the act of teaching.



To begin with, this discussion will attempt to define the concept of classroom management. Thereafter, the discussion will explore mainstream theoretical approaches which underpin the idea of classroom management, while contrasting traditional with more recent approaches to the idea. That will be followed by a thorough explanation of the Reflection Form, essentially, what it is, what it entails, how it reverberates certain theoretical underpinnings, how it differs from more archaic traditional approaches, and furthermore, how the Reflection Form tends to be in sync with the fundamental strategies of managing a classroom.
