Bench

Yann C:
I chose Bench because there is no speech.

We can imagine that the richest character is the largest. We suppose that he eats a lot and that's why he is fat. The smaller one is pitiful because he has sad eyes. He is looking at the sandwich. We hope until the end that the biggest character will give him the sandwich.

It makes me think of the rich people who should help the poorest but who"eats" them in reality. I was surprised by the end of the movie.

It’s funny but it’s sad at the same time.

Please Take Off Your Hoodies

Jonathan D :
For my Film review, I have chosen a documentary by David Hayes " Please Take Off Your Hoodies "
This film is a documentary about a drill producer who made a studio under a restaurant in South London.
I really like this film because it talks about a style of music that I like very much the drill, and because in this film I was able to see 2 famous drillers '' Tion Wayn " and " Rush Millions ".
The movie was very interesting because it showed the back of the stage and how the drill is done, because we listen to the drill, but we don’t know under what conditions the music is produced. But what I don't like is the duration of the film, it’s too short and I find it could go deeper into the "drill music".
Personally I recommend you this documentary because I love the drill and even those who do not know and who do not like the Drill should watch this film.

Jonathan P :
I'm going to tell you about my film review in relation to the drill, a short film that I went to see with my class at the cinema. This report reveals to us all behind the scenes of the drill how the drill has created the violence which is pronounced in the texts, the messages that the rappers want to convey against racism, all forms of discrimination, how the singers present their music in the evening in the showcase, but I really like this short film because it's the style of young people today and I really like it because it shows us from start to finish how drill is created. We see several universes of drill singers and there is something for everyone, this style of music and above all located in London used by gangs to send messages and I don't like it because it talks to us about murder, drugs and I find it really impressionable and really not intelligent because all the young people listen to it and this could force them to do the same but this report really shows us everything about this universe.  I find it good even if there are things known I do not like, such as the violence as said and used in this style of music.
Zakarya B:
I chose Please Take Off Your Hoodies to give my opinion on this documentary where the main subject is the musical sub genre of hip-hop the drill. This documentary of David Hayes tells in 14 minutes the conception of the drill, if you like this style or if you don't know the drill, you shouldn't miss this documentary, go there with your eyes closed, I liked this documentary because I learned a lot of things about the drill and also the fact that the producer has his studio under a restaurant.
Between Hunters And Foxes
Ben Sinclair
Aimen G :
I chose Between Hunters and Foxes because it talks about animals and I like animals, the animation was really good, I like its style. It was moving because the abuse of the fox makes me sad especially when they hunt him with dogs and when the protector of foxes save him. This short film reminds me of the abuse in general. I felt sorry for the fox, the hunters disgusted me and the rescuers relieved me. For me, this short film is perfect, there are no flaws.
Hugo A :
I chose Between Hunters and Foxes because it is about animals. I don't like violence on animals. The film defends animal rights. It is inspired by real facts. I recommend therefore this film to all audience.
Oumar S :
The short film I chose is « between hunters and foxes », it’s a beautiful movie about a cruel subject. The story takes place in 1871 in the United Kingdom, foxes are captured in the countryside and shipped to Australia in Victoria. During the short film I have noticed that there is a transition, we see a difference of treatment, the dog is treated in a proper way whereas the fox is treated with cruelty, then we can see that one of the hunters is the same Dog that will hunt the foxes. There are 11 clubs in Victoria but fortunately there are hunting saboteurs to intervene but despite all this, it is not enough.
Kenny M. C.
From all the short films we have seen I chose Between Hunters and Foxes.
I chose this short film because it talks about wild foxes life linked by humans illegal activities
It makes me realize there is a lot of trouble caused by fox hunting, he is classified surchase “race less important”, canid (like dogs), watching this short film made me feel bad for them.
But it was still a pleasure to watch it because of graphics, animation which won’t hurt children and teenagers.
Fox hunting is practiced in silence, they took foxes from England and sent them to Australia, they called those activities a sport but for me it’s just a massacre played for fun without peace.
I recommend you to watch this movie, it would be really interesting for you and maybe you would like to know their story.
Lifelike
Keith Allott
Dorian D :
The film I choose today is called Lifelike created by Keith Allott. This short film is a perfect reflection of the current world we live in and probably the future world. It talks about the new technology with Bot’s voice assistance.
•Let’s do a short summary of Lifelike:
A painter, named Arthur, he paints a figurine but doesn’t have gold paint so he calls the Factory to exchange one and he talks with Katie an assistant, Arthur talks very well with her. After a moment, he got the paint and got a paper with a message from Katie. He decides to call back to talk to her but Katie talks like she forgot everything, because he realizes she was a bot assistant that reset its mind after every conversation, when he realizes that, he was destroyed and decides to continue to paint.
• This short film reflects the current world because today, bots replace humans for boring tasks and it costs less than an employee. Another point, Bots are now really realistic, maybe too realistic and it’s not really good for some people like Arthur, he is alone and needs some company, he believed he talks to a woman but it’s a bot with a resettable memory after every conversation. The title Lifelike is perfect for the film because this situation is like life, with two people how talking for delivery, this life is like normal, but it’s not. It’s like the expression; it’s too beautiful to be real.
• In this film I like the way he describes the world of today, me too I was thinking it was a real women on the phone, the emotion for the painter is present.
• For me the best moment, the most important one is when the “woman” repeats the same things and then Arthur realizes it’s not a real person, at this moment, everything makes sense like the title.
Tap Boy
Will Kenning
Kylian F:
Tap Boy Is an entertaining short film very rich in events. It's the life of a young dealer fan of tap dancing
The moment that worried me about the young man is the moment when he tap dances, when another man tears off his bag. I really liked this short film.
Moses O:
I picked this short movie because it explained a very good story to me, that in all bad or any situations you find yourself, you must surely find a way to overcome it, not all the time violence. Taking this teenager as an example, after his bag was stolen and he couldn’t do anything, can’t fight and has no one to fight for him, he decided to use his talent to fight back which is Tap dancing and he won.
