Welcome to our new and improved newsletter which is now issued half-termly, providing a useful summary of all we've got up to at school and ensuring our parents/carers are kept fully informed of vital information and key calendar dates.
Don't forget, our school website remains a first port-of-call for essential information on Mawgan-in-Pydar Primary School and we endeavour to keep this fully updated throughout the academic year.
We have had a very busy second half term. Have a look in a moment to find out what our children have been up to. Despite the term being full of activity, we have still managed to incorporate plenty of Christmas sparkle!
Finally, we operate an open door policy and always welcome parents to get in touch either by phone or email at hello@mawgan-in-pydar.org.uk so we can resolve any issues in a mutually agreeable manner together.

Panto Time...
On Tuesday 12th Dec the whole school embarked on a journey to Truro to see Peter Pan - what an amazing experience it was! The children thoroughly enjoyed the pantomime, Captain Hook was a firm favourite, along with the water squirters and golden, glittery confetti falling from the rafters. Thank you Hall for Cornwall for treating us to the tickets, our wonderful PTA who helped with the transport and all of the parent helpers :)
Christmas Lunch...
During our Christmas Lunch we had a very exciting visitor...Father Christmas! Every child received a small gift...
Class 3 trip to Truro Museum...
On Friday 15th December, Class 3 visited Truro Museum to further embed their learning about changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. Children took part in two workshops including creating coil pots and handling historical artefacts from this historical period. The tour guide Mike, was astounded at the children's knowledge and understanding of the time period and loved showing them the local historical artefacts that have been found in our region and are now displayed within the museum.
