When the world was formed and new, Chameleon and his friends played peacefully in the Amazon Rainforest. Snake and Tree Frog, who were his friends, often warned him about the predators that roamed the misty, damp under growth. Soon after his lecture, they set off to find food.
Cautiously, Chameleon, Snake and frog crept towards a small beetle nest. Slowly, they feasted on the crawly critters and trekked back home. Their home, was a large tree covered in wild ivy. Chameleon was yet warned about the predators who could capture him, he didn’t listen. Snake grew more and more vigilant about Chameleon going out at night. Snake was a wise, polite character always looking out for everyone, Frog however always shows off about his ability to poison prey.

That evening, Chameleon became so upset with Frog he ran away, through the jungle until he was forced to a halt. An ear-piercing growl echoed through the Rainforest as a Jaguar exposed its blood-stained teeth. He looked hungry. Chameleon ran, the Jaguar sprinted after him through the vines scrambling up hills and fallen branches, if only he could camouflage and blend in. Suddenly, they met a dead end, too steep to climb past. The Jaguar meandered extending his claws. Was it the end?
But just then Wait where was he? The Chameleon had vanished out of sight, blended into the scenery.

And ever since that day, Chameleons have been able to camouflage into any colour.
