Michelle Obama was born on January 17, 1964. Her parents are Marian Sheilds Robinson and Fraser C. Robinson the third. She was raised in the southside of Chicago, Illinois. Michelle Obama has 1 brother that is mistaken to be twins with Michelle. Michelle Obama is a short version of her name. Her real name is Michelle LaVaughn, Robinson Obama. She lived in a small house with her family. She and her brother slept in the living room with a sheet to be a room divider.

In 2010 Michelle Obama started a program called "Let's Move." She brought together community leaders, teachers, doctors, all kinds of people. The program was used to address the struggle of childhood obesity. She wanted to give healthier food to schools and also get the kids active. Another program she made was in 2015 called "Let Girls Learn." The point of the program was to help girls go to school and get the education they need. People helped spread the word around the world. Michelle Obama made 4 programs about important things.

Michelle Obama has won 6 awards so far in her life. In 2020 she had won the best-spoken word album. In 2021 she won the freedom award.
