I am Captain Syntax; you may not know what I do, let me tell you.
I make sure that the English language is used correctly and follows the rules and patterns for combining words.
The Syntax Leauge
But I do not work alone! I work with my trusty team in ensuring that the rules are followed, the organization of the parts of language, and the arrangement of words in a sentence is in the proper order.
The Syntax League
The syntax league works together, just like sentences and words.
A sentence needs a subject and a predicate to work cohesively together.
The Syntax league is always ready to explain and ensure that every sentence is correct when words are put together and a sentence is formed. Let's ask Noun and Pronoun what a Subject is?
A subject needs a noun. A noun is a person, place, thing, or idea.
Pronouns can also stand-in for proper nouns such as he, she, and them.
Superhero Verb do you know what a predicate is?
There are auxiliary and helping verbs. Verbs give more information about the main verb words like be, can, and have provided more details about the main verb.
There are also linking verbs that describe the state of being and refer back to the subject like acting, doing, or staying.
Adverbs modify or tells more about the verb (ie.. ends in ly)
A predicate needs a verb; it is the subject's action or performance. However, there is more than one type of verb.
The determiner in a sentence is the word that signals a noun is coming words like the, an, this, and that signal a noun should follow.
I want to remind everyone that combining words, determiners, and prepositions work well with nouns when creating a sentence.
In addition, a Preposition describes a noun to another word.
Adjective words like big, gray, and stinky describe the word properties and can also be placed in front of a word.
The supervillain Bruce the Magnicificant thinks if he takes over the Syntax league's layer, the Syntax league will not complete their mission and ensure that the English language rules are followed.
I will so destroy the Syntax League by taking over their layer!
Let me Interject here! mwahahaha.....
However, the supervillain doesn't know that the Syntex League will not act alone; they will need some help from their trusted friend Fanboy to help battle the evil supervillain.
Interjection words are words or phrases that express emotion or feeling.
