RNLI Visit
Earlier this month members of the RNLI team came into school to share important information about beach safety as we prepare for the summer. The children learnt about the different beach flags and how the coloured designs keep us safe. They also took part in different activities and had an opportunity to ask the lifeguards questions. Thank you so much to the team of lifeguards.

TCS London Mini Marathon!
We were so proud of all of our pupils who took part in this year's #MiniLondonMarathon in support of 'Mind' and 'The National Deaf Children's Society'. Pupils of all ages - from Nursery to Year 6 - ran, skipped, jogged, danced or walked 2.6 miles and it was wonderful to see everybody taking part! Although some children were a little nervous at the start, we were so proud to see everybody attempt the course - with lots of children surprising themselves with the distance they managed to travel. Well done to everyone involved!

London Marathon!
Mr Smith and Mr Hoskins would like to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported them during this year's London Marathon. Our runners raised over £5800 for their two charities and felt the love and support of the school community throughout all 26.2 miles!

St Uny Sunflowers
Earlier this week, we launched our first ever St Uny sunflower competition. Each child has been sent home with some sunflower seeds - we would love for these to be planted and grown at home. Towards the end of July, we will be asking for photos of children with their amazing sunflowers, as well as measurements - there will be prizes for the tallest sunflower. Time to get growing!

Thank you to our team of dedicated staff who work tirelessly to ensure our pupils enjoy fantastic learning experiences. We are proud of all that the children have achieved and would like to thank the parents / carers for their continued support. Mr Hoskins - Head of School

Gwithian visit Eden!
Gwithian class had a fantastic time at the Eden Project earlier this month! They learnt about the Aztec civilisation and the importance of the cocoa bean. In the core education area, the children took part in a chocology workshop which taught them about the history of chocolate and the importance of fairtrade. Afterwards, we took part in an exciting set of challenges in the rainforest biome. To finish off a wonderful day, everyone explored the new nature playground area. What a superb class trip - no one wanted to leave!
