Fiero: overwhelming pride and joy experienced and expressed in the moments following a personal triumph over adversity.

3DBear adventures are designed for fiero; challenges and quests where children triumph and learn.

This adventure story is about learning the letter sounds, and then linking those sounds to words, pictures, and the world around us. The challenges are designed for children ages 5-7 to do with parents and teachers.

Children meet challenges by using their creativity, resourcefulness, augmented reality and digital storytelling.

Enjoy.

' About the Lesson'
Lesson: A Boy Named Aa

Aa loves the letter A. He has always wanted to see asteroids. One day he meets an astronaut. The astronaut tells Aa that he can come with her if he successfully completes 5 quests. Each quest involves finding objects that contain different letters. While on the quests, Aa learns a little about other parts of the world, as well.

3DBear is an easy way for children to complete the tasks. 3DBear runs on iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. Children should already be familiar with the 3DBear app: how to find, place, and size objects, how to take a photo of a scene, and how to place something from the device camera roll onto a Google slide.
The story is a dialog between Aa and the astronaut which takes place on Google slides.

Students go through the slides with an adult and they can then complete the astronaut’s quests as well.
