Media’ are different methods of communication. Traditionally this was by way of newspapers, magazines, TV, radio and billboards.
Digital media is communication by digital methods e.g. websites, social media sites such as Facebook, digital photos and videos, video games, e-books and digital music.

Some examples of digital media devices are computers, mobile phones, tablets, e-readers (e.g. a Kindle), digital music devices (e.g. an MP3 player), video game consoles and storage devices, such as flash drives.

Advantages
-Quick, cheap and easy way to stay in contact with family, friends and work
-Digital media is mobile – you can play games, watch films or videos, read e-books or listen to music whenever and wherever you like
-Large memory - music files, movie files, photos and documents can be stored on digital media devices or in the Cloud
-Can create and share content (bearing in mind copyright laws)
