Will Ice melt quicker if it is wrapped?
Steps in the Investigation
  1. Observe how quick an ice cube melts in hot water.
  2. Make a prediction of what you think is going to happen when the ice is covered in different materials.
  3. Lay out all four ice cubes in a row on the table.
  4. Wrap all the ice cubes in their designated material (tin foil, bubble wrap or kitchen roll), and leave one bare as a control.
  5. Set a timer
  6. Watch the ice cubes to see which one melts the quickest, and which one melts the slowest.
  7. Record your results.
  8. Draw up a conclusion.
  9. Compare results to your beginning prediction. (Were you right?, What was different? etc.)
