Juan The Tectonic Plate

Alexandria is 13 years old and goes to Seycove Secondary in North Vancouver, British Columbia. This book is her first made for a project in her science class. May not be the last!

This is how plates move. There are 3 boundaries: convergent, divergent and transform.

The moving of these plates are what cause earthquakes!

One day, Juan met a girl named Abigail who was also very small and was also picked on for her size. So, they became best friends!

After that, other plates or people never made fun of them again! And they lived happily ever after!

The causing of these earthquakes also form volcanoes and/or cause them to erupt!

Here are all the tectonic plates around the world. As you can see, Juan is the smallest plate.

Because of Juan’s small size, he got picked on by the other plates who were much bigger than him.

This is Juan, he is a tectonic plate. His full name is Juan de Fuca. But, what we really want to know is, what is a tectonic plate?

Well, inside the earth, there are 4 layers. The crust is what we live on.
