The myth of Europe!

King Agenor, the son of Poseidon, once lived in Phoenicia. He had a beautiful daughter, Europe. Zeus saw Europa, fell in love with her and one day, when the daughter was gathering flowers with her friends on a Phoenician beach, he transformed into a white bull, approached her and lay down next to her. The beautiful animal looked calm and friendly and Europe approached it, petted it and sat on its back unsuspectingly.
At the same moment the bull jumped up and rushed towards the sea. Terrified Europe was held by his horns. The bull flew over the waves and reached Crete. There Zeus assumed his normal form, married Europa and they had three sons. When Zeus returned to Olympus, he ordered Hephaestus to make a bronze giant, Talos, to guard Crete and prevent Europe from ever leaving.
When her brother, Cadmus, realized that
Europa was lost, he began to search far and wide. Turning and searching, he walked the entire wider area of today's Europe. So it is said that thecontinent we live on today, Europe, got its name from her.

Armenia
is home to what is known as a stork village. Stork nests set on top of poles
throughout several areas within Armenia. The storks migrate to Africa and go
back and forth between Africa and Armenia during the year.

Armenia has its
own alphabet created over 1,600 years ago. There is an Armenian Alphabet
Monument, erected in 2005 in honour of Mesrop Mashtots who invented the
39-letter alphabet.

Armenia is located in
Asia and it is located in close proximity to Russia, Iran, and Turkey.

One of the symbols of
Armenia is the apricot. The Armenian flag is orange in color and it’s actually
comes from the color of the apricot. All kinds of apricot products are sold in
Armenia marketplaces including apricot wine and dried apricots

Belarus shares its borders with Russia to the northeast, Ukraine to the south, Poland to the west, and Lithuania and Latvia to the northwest. Covering an area of approximately 207,595 km² (80,153 mi²), Belarus sits landlocked within Eastern Europe. The country predominantly features flat terrain shaped by glacial movements and river erosion, with an elevation ranging from the highest peak, Dzyarzhynskaya Hara at 345 meters, to the lowest point at Neman River, 90 meters above sea level.

According to the data of 2009, the population of Belarus is 9,503,807 people. 83.7% of them are Belarusian, 8.3% Russian, 3.1% Polish, 1.7% Ukrainian, and 3.2% other. On average, 50 people live per square kilometer.

Almost half of the territory of Belarus consists of forests - this is evidenced by the green stripe on the country's flag. Belarus is sometimes called "the lungs of Europe". Belarus has the largest old European forest - Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
