After the Easter Break we returned to find that something unusual had been roaming around the school bins. It was large and brown - what could it be?

Investigation led us to discover that animals had escaped from a nearby zoo and we had a friendly bear in the class. This led us to do more work on animals and their habitats. We also thought about zoos and how to build them so that this problem couldn't happen again.

We enjoyed being responsible for an animal and made very good zookeepers.

Michael's Day

We enjoyed our first assembly together, in a long while, to celebrate Michael's Day. We were proud to wear yellow to help raise money for some important causes.

Well done to our friends who got a certificate and prize for their handwriting and colouring.

Class 1 love to read and couldn't wait to choose some new books for our Class Library. We have enjoyed sharing them during Storytime.

We had a surprise visit from bear and his friends. He was a great listener and really enjoyed our stories (as long as he could enjoy a tasty tea party afterwards)!!

We worked with our friends to make a zoo. We used different construction materials to build walls, fences and ponds.

Using our ever improving fine motor skills we cut out and assembled a moving pet figure. The class was soon filled with a variety of cats, dogs, rabbits and parrots.

We revisited our work using algorithms and programmed instructions to help us find our way around the Safari Park.

Using virtual Bee Bots on the whiteboard was great fun and helped us think carefully about the vocabulary used when giving directions.
