Back in the classroom we used some of the natural material we had collected to make some transient art, something that can be made, moved and changed.

Look at the different ways we found to represent people, faces and emotions.

We loved sharing our holiday boxes and telling our new friends about the adventures we had.

Welcome to Class 1. We are Great.

We have been reading the book 'Here we are' by Oliver Jeffers and thinking about the planet we live on and how amazing it is. Using our creative skills and lots of different materials we made our own collages of the planet Earth.

To help us understand the world around us we visited the school environment and looked to see what human and physical features we could find.

We hope you enjoyed seeing all the different things we have been doing in school so far. We have been very busy and have had lots of fun.

Look out for our next adventure - We are Bakers.

The class talked about the different things that live on Earth; trees, flowers, animals, birds, insects and of course humans. It was great fun drawing around a friends body and trying to name some of the different body parts and the job they do .

Here we are learning, sharing and having fun!

We shared stories about different families and thought about what makes our families special. Everyone in Class 1 talked about how great their families are and how much they loved them.

By using mirrors and looking at each other closely we saw that even though we all had the same features we still looked very different from each other - all of us are individuals!

Here we are developing new skills and friendships in the outdoor learning garden.
