Tying Knots

You will need: string, wool or rope and a selection of good size sticks
1) Gather together rope or wool and sticks of similar size.

2) Click on the two links for knots and square lashing or look on the Internet for different knots and tying techniques – there are lots to choose from.

3) Try to master different ways to tie knots. Perhaps you could challenge one of your grown-ups to a knot tying race!

4) You could make a frame for a natural piece of art by lashing four sticks together.
