Don't forget to take lots of photos to post on either Tapestry or Seesaw so your new class teacher and teaching assistant can see what you have been getting up to!

Forest School and Outdoor Learning

Leaf Chime

You will need: string / a short, thin stick / a short, thicker stick / leaves

1. Cut a length of string and tie the thicker stick at the bottom end to act as a stopper.

2. Using the thinner stick as a needle, tie the string on to act as thread. Find yourself some leaves of your choosing and push the needle (thin stick) through the middle of the stick.

3. You can put as many leaves as you want on the string. You could then hang it up somewhere as decoration. 

Arts and Craft

Origami Fish

You will need: card, paper, Sellotape, glue

1. Start with a square piece of paper and fold it in half corner to corner to create a diagonal fold. Repeat with the other two corners.
2. Now turn it over and fold the paper again this time across the middle of the square. Repeat with the other two sides.
3. Pull two of the side folds together so your square folds into a triangle.
4. Fold one side of the triangle across from right to left to form one fin. Repeat with the other side and then turn it over. There you have your basic fish!
5. Use a pen to add an eye and a cheeky smile.

Science Fun

Walking Water Rainbow

You will need: clear plastic cups, water, kitchen towel, food colouring
