Australia is a country located in the southern hemisphere, occupying the entire continental part of Oceania, the smallest continent in the world.
It is famous for its natural attractions and amazing animals that inhabit its extensive grasslands and beautiful reefs.

Australia's climate is generally warm and temperate, but because it is such a large place, many areas have very particular climatic characteristics, depending on where they are located.
Australia is in the southern hemisphere, so its seasons are the opposite of those in Europe: when in Europe it is winter, in Australia it is summer.

History
Australia has been inhabited for at least forty-six thousand years by the Australian aborigines, the eastern half of the continent was claimed by Great Britain in 1770, during the nineteenth century five more colonies were established and in 1901, the six colonies were united to form the Confederation of Australia and has maintained a liberal democratic political system being a monarchy within the British Commonwealth of Nations.
It is a constitutional monarchy with a parliament, Queen Elizabeth II is the head of state represented by a governor and there are 4 executive powers.
