The BIG News

It was early morning in summer. I was five years old. I lived with my parents and my little brother named Timothy. My brother and I were really hyper like a squirrel, so much so my parents were sometimes tired of us. That was the reason why my parents wouldn't let us drink coffee. During the afternoon, my parents gathered my brother and I in our living room to tell us something.

My brother and I got anxious because we thought we were in trouble. When my parents told us the news, my brother and I thought they were joking but they got serious when we started giggling. I couldn't believe what i just heard. I would always beg my parents if we could go to our grandparents house, but they would always say "we are too busy!" My brother and I got so exited we sprinted like lightning to our room to pack up and make drawings of our family to put in our grandparent's house.
Finally, after a few days my family woke up around 5am and started to drive to our grandparent's house. I felt really tired because we woke up super early, but my brother and I got to sleep while in the car. When my family arrived at our grandparent's house, it was 7 in the morning and I could smell my grandma's cooking from outside. When I made eye contact with my grandparent's, I bolted into their arms and I felt really exited. I had so many things to tell my grandparent's.
Eventually, after we unpacked, I was jumping cheerfully because I was exited. My family gathered and played our traditional game. We had a big feast celebration. I loved the taste of my grandma's cooking, it tasted delicious. My brother and I gave our drawings to our grandparent's. My grandparent's were thrilled with our drawings of our family. In the long run, it was the best day of my life.
