The region of Guadalajara
Our school is located in the city of Guadalajara.
We live in the center of the Iberian Peninsula, on a large plateau which is more than 600 metres high. We have many hours of sunlight, summers are very hot and dry and winters are cold.
The city of Guadalajara is located 50km Northeast from Madrid. It olny takes 40 minutes to go to Madrid, which is a very large city with a lot of fun things to do and great places to visit.
But Guadalajara is a small town. There are about 80,000 inhabitants. The city was founded by the Muslims during the Al-Andalus period. It locates close to Henares River and to an ancient Roman road between the main Roman cities of Emerita Agusta and Caesar Agusta.
Live in Guadalajara is quite calm. We can walk almost anywhere in the city, there are manu green areas, most of people know each other and there aren´t any major conflict .
The main festivity on the city is in September. We celebrate it with many parties and concerts. Some mornings during the festivity, people run in front of bulls along some main streets in the city.
Also, the city surrounded by beautiful landscapes. There are beautyful villages, mountains, lakes and rural areas very low populated. The province of Guadalajara includes very interesting landscaes and has got very revelant natural values.
We really wish you could visit our school and our city in the future.

Guadalajara also has many Roman and Muslim remains which are all along the city. It is a beautiful city to visit, you can go to the lavender fields in Brihuega or to Sigüenza to visit the castle or the cathedral. It also has local or typical food like the honey.
The region of Terni
Terni is a charming town in the heart of the southern part of Umbria, in central Italy.
This charming city has a population of approximately 111,000 and calls itself the City of Lovers.
The Nera River runs centrally through Terni and has been an important source of trade in ages past.
In ancient times, Terni was settled in the 7th century by tribes from Umbria and also became a Roman fortress with a series of defensive fortifications.
In later years he became embroiled in various disputes and wars between the rival factions in communal Italy.
It wasn't until the 19th century that Terni really flourished; during this period, steel mills were built here and the city's economy grew.
Today Terni remains a major industrial city and has three distinct areas that provide manufacturing capatibilities.

IES Brianda de Mendoza
IES Brianda de Mendoza stands as one of Spain's oldest public schools. For over a millennium, it resided within the historic Palace of Antonio Mendoza until 1972 when it relocated to a new building on the outskirts of the city. With an extensive record, our school boasts a rich heritage comprising old books, an amazing selection of dissected animals, and different educational resources such as old maps and science instruments.
Now, IES Brianda de Mendoza accommodates a huge student system, with more than 2000 students ranging from 12 to 18 years old. Our devoted faculty consists of around 120 educators who guide and inspire our students. We offer a diverse range of study choices, including morning and afternoon courses, as well as online programs to cater to different learning preferences.
We actively participate in a number of projects at IES Brianda de Mendoza to improve our students' academic experiences. We foster global links through exchange programs with colleges across Europe, hosting appointments from students and teachers from internationally while also providing opportunities for our kids to travel to other countries. This week, we are delighted to welcome European kids who will be joining us in our lessons.
Furthermore, our school boasts a vivid television station, enabling students to transmit their own programs during the afternoons, honing their conversation and creative skills. This program serves as a powerful method for self - manifestation and community engagement.
One of our school's unique features is our commitment to promoting traditional culture. We joyfully celebrate our Greco-Roman Games every May of the year. On this particular occasion, we embrace the gown and traditions of ancient Greek and Roman societies. We invite different schools to participate in pleasant Olympic competitions and plan a variety of interesting events. For everyone involved, the Greco-Roman Games provide a wonderful day of fun and cultural immersion.
Now, we are in our next year of supplementary education, comprising a vibrant group of about 20 students. As individuals in the fluent plan, we have the opportunity to get some of our training in English, further enhancing our language skills. Our typical school day begins at 08 : 30 and concludes at 14 : 30, punctuated by two short breaks of 15 minutes each. While the majority of us live in Guadalajara and commute daily by foot to college, some of our kids come from nearby villages and frequently use buses.
