Ryan's Bad Day Loading...
By Evelyn Durckel and Elise Sy-QuiaLoading...
Ryan suddenly woke up from a peaceful dream to the sound of his mother’s voice trying to wake him so he wasn’t late for school. He turned away towards the wall opposite of her hoping she would leave him alone.
“Mom, can I just skip school for today? I’m in a terrible mood,” pouted Ryan.
“Of course not! Now get up and get dressed before your late for school,” she exclaimed. That was the last thing he wanted to do but his mom was persistent and got him out of bed and on his way to school.

On the way to school, Ryan got more and more upset as he walked with his mom.
“Mom, why do I have to go to school today!” Ryan growled.
“You have to go Ryan. I thought we discussed this earlier.” said Ryan’s mom as she continued walking. With a face as red as a tomato, Ryan stomped all the way until he got to the school gate.
“Have a good day, Ryan!” His mom yelled as he entered the school.

WELCOME
“Yeah, right! That’s not gonna happen,” thought Ryan. Grumbling, he walked down the hall until he got to his class room.
Ryan stomped into the room. When the class saw Ryan, they were scared. This wasn’t the bright and kind Ryan they remembered. Some of his classmates ran away in fear. The classroom seemed so happy. Children laughed and there was bright colors everywhere. Ryan looked out the window, even the sun seemed to be smiling down at him!
“Ugh, how is the world so happy right now?” grumbled Ryan, “Today is the worst!”

Ryan walked over to the rug where his classmates, Ava and Lily, were drawing.
“Are you okay Ryan?” asked Lily, “You seem pretty upset.” Ryan frowned at her and crushed her crayons with quiet crack!
“Why would you do that Ryan!” yelled Ava. Tears started forming in the corners of Lily’s eyes. Ryan tramped away, ignoring Ava. He was too irritated with everything to care.
